Tested: Games in a Tesla with Atari Controller!
We just got the software update for the Tesla Model 3 that adds six classic Atari arcade games, so Jeremy and Norm test the games for their emulation quality and USB gamepad support. Plus, we manage to get it working with an original Atari 2600 controller plugged into the car! Instructions and links for making the Xinput adapter for Atari 2600 controller here.

i can see lots of accidents and lawsuits in teslas future from this the idiot that thought this was a good idea needs to be fired.
This is a bad idea, and if it was Elon’s idea, it deserves to be put into the lengthy column of why he is not fit to run a company whose products put people’s lives on the line when used.
Just a guess; it doesn’t work when driving. Seems an obvious solution to me.
Pole position needs to get functioning auto-pilot before the Tesla itself!
Is this a Tesla commercial? I don’t know which videos are sponsored and which aren’t…would love to know which ones to skip!
I grew up with the atari 2600, nostalgia aside this is the most idiotic thing i’ve seen in a long time
Of course you can’t play them while driving. I think you guys might be taking it all a bit too seriously. They’re just superfluous, whimsical easter eggs. They don’t detract or distract. Personally I think it’s refreshing.
I agree completely. This is a good video. You guys are great and I learned I need to start bringing a controller with me so I can play while charging. This is no worse than using your phone. In fact, I can’t even play on the tesla while driving. Also, will your adapter work with any de9 controller?
It needs to be pin-compatible with the Atari, but many are. See the compatible systems section here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atari_joystick_port
OK, can you sell me one that already works with my car? Already have the atari controller.
