I think looking back at the original films they had a rawness because they were made in the late 70s early eighties, where ignorance was bliss. I think there’s just too much red tape in Hollywood these days for them ever to get back to that authenticity. I vote Chris Nolan for director though!
That lion head thing is CREEPING ME THE FUCK OUT.
I heard that they are going to bring Darth Vader back to life in 7,8,9. HOW the hell are they going to do that?
You guys should make a follow-up to this episode. It felt incomplete… like first part of a trilogy.
I still think this is one of the best things that could possibly happen to the Star Wars franchise. Disney wouldn’t be my first choice, but I have no problem with them.
Edit: Also, I liked Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, mainly because it’s so ridiculous and goofy, so take my opinion however you will.
That lion is indeed awesome. If they do a tiger I will insist on a bear as well. Because.
Darth Vader wasn’t originally supposed to be Luke’s father, he was intended to be exactly what Obi-Wan
said he was in Star Wars; the apprentice that betrayed and murdered Luke’s
father.
Here’s a good article that goes over how the first draft of
Empire had non-Vader father Skywalker appearing as a ghost and telling Luke
about his non-Leia sister: http://secrethistoryofstarwars.com/sisterthatneverwas.html
The author of that website has a great book called The Secret
History of Star Wars that I highly recommend for any Star Wars fan.
Thank you!
I can’t believe no one has mentioned the Thrawn Trilogy…the ONLY Star Wars books worth reading. Talk about a great villain!
I love Adam’s hyperbole. A great story teller, even if only 90% (or 80%) factual. I laugh through these podcasts! Thanks!
