WonderCon 2013: Metal Gear Solid’s Raiden Cosplay
We’ve seen a lot of cosplay at comic book conventions, but this Raiden from the Metal Gear series is one of the most impressive we’ve encountered. And at this year’s WonderCon, we actually saw two amazing Raidens. Here’s how these cosplayers constructed their suits.

Amazing and a little bit freaky at the same time, love it.
that’s metal gear rising, you jerks
still cool
It is actually Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Quite a long title =D
These are both really awesome.
I would love to see more Cosplayer interviews! I think cosplay is a great way for people to get into making, and every time Tested or even ComicVine have had Norms photos, there’s always a handful where I wonder how the heck someone made something.
In fact, here’s an idea for a segment Norm comes up with a character to cosplay as at ComicCon in San Diego this summer, and Adam teaches him how to do everything. All the sewing, wood working, recognizing stuff you can get from a hardware store and putting it all together from soup to nuts. It wouldn’t need to be as complex as Raiden, but not as easy as Han Solo, or easy to get off the internet like a Storm Trooper.
Who’s else thinks that would be really cool?
That’s so awesome. I’m jealous.
well early on, Will already knows how to do some of that stuff, soldering, welding, woodwork, etc. And Will said (maybe on a podcast) that one of his goals was to have a segment with Jamie teaching Norm how to weld, and I guess Jamie’s been too busy to do more on camera segments.
Both are just super
