Tested: The Show — A Story in 256 Pixels
As the resolution and pixel density of digital screens are skyrocketing, we take a step back to appreciate the artistry of telling a story with the limitations of 8-bit graphics. Jeremy Williams celebrates the history and potential of pixel art in this presentation from our live show! (We apologize for some of the rough audio in this taping of our live show. The audio mixer at the venue unfortunately distorted audio from some of the microphones.)

Nicely done !
I love the game frame and similar projects. This was a great short video about the pixel art and the creativity involved in creating it.
Excellent presentation. I like that you got the audience to call out the games.
awesome pres . Glad to see these starting to show up on the site.
These really give credence that constraints can really lead to incredible creativity.
That was fun to watch. Thanks for sharing!
I can totally see why Jeremy was one of the most asked for presenters, absolutely beautyful artwork and top notch presentation. (BTW You could totally hear Adam laugh in the audience)
Really cool. Remember doing stuff like that in my graph book in Maths at school.

hit it out of the park with that presentation!
Well done. 😎👍
Awesome presentation !
I just wish the audio quality was better…oh well…I hope they sort it out by the next time there’s a Tested! event.
Wow! Great job, Jeremy!
I really didn’t expect your presentation and examples to evoke such strong responses in my but it and they did!
Thanks!
Great, well-prepared talk by Jeremy. Really professional work.
a bit of gain imbalance somewhere in the system. It can happen to anyone, especially when you have multiple layers of receiver, amp, console and output.
Very pro to just push through and get the presentation done, I’ve seen a lot of presenters that get thrown by one little thing and burn the rest of the set.
Hope you make some more, I´m on the mailing list.
That was a great presentation by ! I think it’s time to make some new animations for my own GameFrame.
Nice job
Thanks guys. It was a thrill to do the talk, but kind of a blur in the moment. Glad it resonated with you all.
Awesome! Nice job duder!
So glad these videos are going up now. I was looking forward to this one. The Game Frame is a very cool piece of tech. I love that you introduce the idea behind it. You want to display art that means something to you. Very Cool. Great professional presentation. I worked for a while recording live events and trying to get levels right in an unfamiliar space especially for later broadcast can be a pain. Great job all around.
So far, think this has to be the strongest conference in the whole show, and for a reason. I think Jeremy has real solid view here of pixel art and it’s certainly inspiring to hear him be so passionate.
As a sidenote, I’m still on waiting list for the next Game Frames D:
