Adam Savage as Kylo Ren Incognito at Comic-Con 2016!
For this Comic-Con incognito walk through the show floor, Adam does something different and gets suited up from a booth in the exhibit hall. Dressed as Kylo Ren (costume by Anovos), he ventures out to meet other Star Wars cosplayers and visits the Lucasfilm booth to see some collectibles up close.

Awesome, there is much more to that costume than is evident in the film.
Another great video from the con, thanks.
That’s what I really like about high def movies, the costumes add another layer to the story, and I wish I could afford the shipping of that costume to Europe :/
Ha, ha, Frank cameo.
Great use of music in this piece, BTW.
The kids look like they would be the best part of the Comic-Con walk.
If I ever get to go to comic con I’m going to cosplay as Norm and follow some random person around with a camera so everyone thinks it’s Adam. lol
Those kids were adorable!
Awesome job!
oh em gee, the kids were all lovely, but that little rey was the adorbsest. it’s not often that ‘adorabubble’ is appropriate, but this might be such a case.
oh yah! at 6:38
fun!
Is it too late to claim that was me in my Frank Ippolito costume?
The pleated vest and arms are a work of art – It’s a shame they are hidden by the overcoat. So much detail in the costume which was never really seen on screen.
Is there even a scene in the theatrical release where we see Rylo Ken without the overcoat on?
Nerdly spotting at 8:11
What a spectacular helmet! 😀 I love the amount of chrome on that. That shine in the fabric looks spot on.
I’m going to a local con next week with the 501st, dressed in a Kylo Ren costume I made myself (http://tinypic.com/r/2w565xf/9). You’d be surprised how many hours go into making the under tunic and the sleeves, no wonder they charge so much for it. I’ve counted somewhere around 150-200 separate folds, and I even have to redo some of it (sigh).
Also I must say, Adam, if it hadn’t been for you I’d never attempt to sew an entire costume like Kylo Ren from scratch. You’ve thought me that nothing is impossible to do just because I’ve not done it before. New skills can be learned, and everyone starts out as an amateur. Try, and you might succeed! Thank you so much for everything you’ve done for the cosplay/maker community! I really mean that!
Seriously AMAZING Adam. It would be nice to do a videogame costume too! Roadhog from Overwatch is one I’m waiting to see anytime soon!! 🙂 Good job!
Agree on all accounts
The kids! They loved every moment! Way to go Adam and company…
I wonder why he chose something from the remake instead of the original film?
I really love the rainbow dress that Adam’s p.a. is wearing. Where did she get it?
I had hoped to meet Adam at Comicon and a friend who lives in LA and is in social media tried to arrange a meet, unfortunately it did not happen, I was there for the four days and I asked the guy with the Kylo Ren outfit if I could take a photo and then told him how awsome and realistic it looked. Didn’t think about it at the time but it was just too real looking then later I realized you were not wearing a pass. That was my big opportunity, maybe next time.
