Costume vs Clothes
Backstory: For years some friends of mine have hosted a rest stop for walkers in a 50 km walk for Multiple Sclerosis. To make the rest stop more interesting, we dressed as pirates, had pirate decorations, and said “Arrrrr” a lot. Over a span of five years or so, the daughter of one of the pirates (who always helped) went from age five to ten.
Actual Story:
Mother asks: “What do you want to be for Halloween?”
Daughter answers: “I have a princess costume and a spaceman costume” (or something like that. I do not remember the second costume.)
Mother: “What about your pirate costume?”
Daughter (indignant): “That’s not a costume! When I work at the rest stop, I am a pirate!”
Here’s the dress>

This was a spectacular panel! And the questions from the audience were very insightful, as well.
Thank you for hosting this, Adam, and for inviting these amazing guests. Jay Justice was wonderful and Deborah Landis is always a joy! The conversation here is what I enjoy most about Tested.
Deborah never got to answer the question on her most interesting/challenging costume.
Maybe we can get that from her and posted here because it would be a wonderful change of perspective from your story, Adam, and Jay’s!
