Real-Life Futurama Hypnotoad Animatronic
Our very own Frank Ippolito recently built a lifelike Hypnotoad for the Fan-o-Rama Futurama fan film, and shows how he built the animatronic for the project. Check out its animated eyes and mesmerizing breathing motion. All hail hypnotoad!

I know a bunch of people are going to ask about the edges of the OLED screens being obvious. it was shot in a way for the production that it wasn’t an issue.
WOW!! now I know what I want to make, I need to make a Hypnotoad. The eyes are fantastic too. Would you be adverse to sharing the code you used to set up the Arduino board?

Thank you 🙂 All glory to the Hypnotoad!!
In person, it felt like the eyes were following me. This and the Nibbler were easily my favorite pieces on display. Brain Slug next!
That is so cool! The eyes are awesome- definitely going to check that out.
oh, i have ideas on how to do a cool brain slug.
Please do, Frank. This was an exquisite build, and one of the highlights of the trailer. Would love to see your take on the brain slug.
maybe some day…..
Looks great! Did it make the hypnosound also?
Really cool! Frank Ippolito rocks the Hypnotoad
