Uhhh, Carbo-rator? Carburetor? I dont know haha…
In any case, AWESOME WORK FRANK! Looks awesome. I want to make my own now…
Q: What did Boushh say to Frank the day after Frank drank all that beer?
A: You have carbonation sickness
You are REALLY hitting your stride. Wonderful. Fridge name? Hoth Kelvinator
Hans Coldo?
I have a great mod for V2. As Frank opened his beer, I thought wouldn’t it be amazing if one of Han’s hands could be a bottle opener!
Perfect!
can we get a link to the RPF thread? ive searched but couldnt find it.
Had a chance to see it in person at the SoCal RPF party and it’s awesome.
im writing the thread now. gimme a couple hours to finish. (i spaced on posting it)
This is definitely cooler than my ordinary looking beer fridge! Is there a bottle opener molded in there anywhere?
The Carbonator
Build-threads written post-fact? You’re doing it wrong, Frank! 😉
Looking forward to the writeup, make sure to get all the mistakes in there so it is a realistic build-thread like they should be 🙂
im workin on it! and im not afraid of my mistakes!
The mistakes are the good bit 🙂 especially in build threads!
here ya go, the RPF thread-

Han-Froyo ?
Amazing. How fragile is the casting? If you could have embedded a bottle opener in his hand that would have been great. Either way, amazing work as always.
Han Solo in Refrigerite! I love it. I agree with the bottle opener suggestion 🙂 I’m a little surprised you didn’t shim the gap between the doors more, though; the background smear would surely have covered it up better. Still looks amazing, though.
Also, instead of putting it on a riser, you could have done a floor decal or something that made it look like it was just inset into the floor. (halfway up the freezing tube, perhaps).
Carbon-idge / Carbon-eezer ?
Hey Frank! Your fridge is way better, but i built this 2 years ago 😉 Also i’d like to say thanks as i used your tutorial last year for making silicone moulds and i haven’t looked back since!
I’ve been thinking about building a Han in Carbonite and doing some research and this is the first I’ve seen with the glowing “unfreezing Han” (not to mention it being on a fridge)
That is brilliant! Now I have to rethink everything!
And I’d call it the Freeze Chamber
Its a Han’ted Fridge. I’ll show myself out now before the natives get restless.
COOOOOOOL!!!
Awesome build! Thanks for sharing the process on the RPF and your video here was teriffic!
How did you like the Woot Stout this year?
BEST. FRIDGE. EVER.
PERIOD.
Can’t beat a well stocked fridge.
Excellent video – Frank, Norm and Joey work well as a team. Amazing build.
May the frig be with you….
Great work, Frank. Every shop needs a well-stocked fridge that fits the theme.
How about the “Kishore has to fill this fridge with beer because he’s about to lose a big bet to Frank”?
Brew-bacca!
Han Solo – frozen in Beertonite.
Here’s a carbonited beverage to put in your fridge.
Or this:
keep dreamin!
Cold Solo
“Never tell me it’s empty!”
Is this what they call “recasting” on the RPF ?
My suggestion for a name: “Han Coolo”
Cold Cold Drinks.
You can see the track lighting… I would have backed it with mylar or reflective foil and shone the lights inside it, and reflected them back out through the sculpture. But it’s still impressive none the less.
Possibly the greatest thing … And I want one !
