Tested Builds: Perfect Grade Gundam, Part 6
Norm, Frank, Sean, and Danica finally complete the Gundam! There’s plastic everywhere in the office, but the effort was worth it–and now we just want to build more of these kits. Thanks to everyone who watched this week of build! We’ll be back next month with another project and special guest!

I have been wanting to build my first Gundam for months now so when I saw this video I could not resist the feeling to build a Gundam anymore. I have purchased the same gundum after seeing many reviews and tutorials on YouTube about this model. I am so excited to get started on my Gundam Zeta perfect grade. Wish me luck.
good luck! take your time!
I built a little Advanced Grade kit I’d had for a while earlier today and as an added bonus I got to practice my Japanese.
When Frank said about doing a Gundam cosplay I immediately thought of this

Had a little google translate with the instructions. Mostly made no sense or was just a description for the part. For the wiring I did find the word cut and some lengths in cm! So I guess you did need to cut those wires. Couldn’t find anything about polarity. Of course it could have been the quality of the translation..
So very nearly ordered one but I will finish building the Falcon first I think.
you’d think by now they’d have gotten rid of that carpet and slain the carpet monster for good.
I built a MG RX-78-2 while watching this series! Bummer about the electronics instructions. I realize it must be very easy to lose steam at the end of such a long build.
I wonder if we can summon Will here by offering him a red pill.
Slight anti-climax after 6hours of watching to see you chicken out on the electronics and it to not really be 100% finished. Amazed at how good it looks for a snap together kit though.
finally after 6 hours 97% completion of the gun damn GUNDAM !!!!
Nobody appreciated Danica’s “Y4 Art Thou” joke.
I’m actually surprised no one ever yelled, “Bingo!”
didnt like the ending. 5 episodes and fizzle. 🙁
you should do a quick follow up of it completed and maybe show it transformed if all that stuff works and it can be transformed
Hi everyone I have the legs, arms, and head done on my zeta Gundam I am building. I have been building the model in sessions. Your back stars to hurt like crazy after a while, so make sure to stretch. I have the batteries that were not provided in the kit so I can check my LED’s. The head took some tinkering to get the on and off switch to work correctly but it was worth it. It’s going awesome so far.
Does anyone from the Tested crew know that Bandai also builds stunning Star Wars model kits? They go together just like the Gundam’s but you can get ships like the T-65, T-70 and of course the Millennium Falcon. They even have figures as kits! You can get BB-8, R2, Kylo Ren, Darth Vader. So many possibilities!
Good luck
Watching your team build this has finally gotten me off the fence about building one. Mine is on it’s way and If it’s as much fun as it looks like it’s going to be, it will be the first of many. I’m just going to have to figure out where to put them all given all of my other models.
Hi everyone, back again. My gundam is is done. It’s been a week since I finished and when I was done all of the lights and parts worked great. I transformed the Gundam in to wave runner mode. Awesome. This kit was hard but great to build . The fun part for me now is using all of the weathering and painting methods that I have seen Adam and Frank use on previous videos to make my perfect grade Gundam in to a battle hardened fighting machine with all of its dirt grime and battle scars. I also need to make sure it looks good in its transformed mode as well. Once I am done I will shoot the tested crew a couple of shots of the final piece.
Hi Norm,
I have finished my Gundam weathered detailed and all using the methods that Adam and Frank showed on many of the videos. I wanted to send you a picture in of the Gundam complete, in all of its battle scared glory. How would I go about that?
You guys have officially made an impact on the Gunpla Community! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aydPFNMN7bs , https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lG1f9tXrKgI Tested gets mentioned in both of these Gunpla videos that i just so happened to watch tonight!
Pretty sure you could just put it right here in the comment section for all of us to see. I think I speak for all Tested members when I say we’d love to see it!
It’s entirely possible to build a PG or any Gunpla for that matter without understanding Japanese. But that said, knowledge of the suit is certainly helpful. I’ve built four high grade, 15 master grade, and 4 perfect grade without being able to read japanese but I’ve also seen all the series that they come from.
Hi everyone,
These are the pics of my Gundam Zeta fully detailed I still have to clear coat the whole things but I like the results so far. Let me know what you think?
This is my 3rd 1/100 MG Sazabi Ver Ka. that I have built. I call it Char’s Crush.
My 1/100 MG Deathscythe Hell
How to F up a very expensive PG grade gunpla.. well you did youre best guyz..
