Let’s Build: Blade Runner Blaster, Part 4
Mark, Adam, and Norm finish the build, but will the blaster work properly? Thanks for watching this first week of Let’s Build–we’ll have more build weeks to come very soon!

Kept waiting for the recitation of Norm’s motto, “Mistakes were made!”
i’ll have an update tomorrow about how this project ended!
We’ve now seen you build two Harrison Ford classics. Any plans to complete the trifecta with Indy’s Smith & Wesson pistol?
Anyone want to buy a Richard Coyle all pewter kit? I bought one years back, but it proved too complicated for me. If you are interested, message me. I am a tested member.
Looks like Mark and I were on the same wavelength, nevermind!
Great Series Guys!

What a terrific series fella’s. Always great to see a good PKD build and this was fabulous. Thanks very much Adam, Norm and Mark!
Highest regards
MARK
I’d also be interested in an update on the bluing/weathering of the DL 44 – even just photos on your instagram Norm.

epilogue
– had to almost completely disassemble and reassemble twice since shooting this to find the issue with the rotating chamber and fix it. turns out there was a pin in the hammer assembly that wasn’t completely flush, and blocking its cycle.
– tinted the grips with an oranger sharpie and wiped it down with a little alcohol to make it look more amber. very happy with it!
the blaster sits on my desk at home now 🙂
I love that Mark and Adam are saying ‘it’s never over, it’s never over’, and then Norm ends up having to disassemble twice.
I really enjoyed watching these videos! Thank you guys!
Fantastic series, Ive built a Coyle and my friend Ken is currently finishing my Tomenosuke, he waxed and polished the grips to the point you can read through them! i cant wait to get the finished piece back, shall share photos once its done, fantastic work on the Blaster welcome to the Club, next up, voight-kampff 😉
i was wondering what replica of this gun would you suggest, because after those videos i need one of those beautiful . maybe on a different budget.
Hi Adam – have you thought of making a Blade Runner-universe gun with the extra parts of the two guns? So something that “might” have existed in the universe (maybe a bad guy)?
I wish you could still find the Tomenosuke kits. I put my name on the list for the next round of blasters through HGC but they are saying that this will be the last round ever. I’d honestly rather get a kit so I don’t have to take it apart to put a real bulldog frame and the steel barrel in. Also even with all of Norm’s issues in the beginning I would really like to build it myself.
I’m kinda diggin’ Adam’s idea of bending the stand for his Wiha driver set into a semi-circle. I have the exact same set (plus the inch nut drivers) and I think Adam’s design is a bit better to use while sitting at the workbench.
I knew there was some reason I was watching this, because I’m certainly not spending a grand for a pistol that doesn’t shoot! 🙂
Adam can you recommend any sources for the steel barrel? There was recently a run started on the RPF that seems to have fallen thru, apparently leaving with people hanging.
It would have been nice to see how the plastic barrel was cut off and replaced for the steel one. Some more detail closeups of the trigger assembly and other trickier areas of the build would have been invaluable.
I’m not imagining that the cylinder release button is operating backwards, right? It should be something you press forward with your thumb, but Adam keeps having to use two hands to pull the button back toward the hammer instead of forward toward the cylinder.
That was fun. Would love to see a video on Indy’s gun. Or a few video’s covering all aspects of Indy’s outfit.
Are these kits still available as it looks like a fantastic build, really enjoyed watching this series.
