  1. Guys, that was great. You guys work together so well. Please build more “stuff” together. So entertaining.

  2. And again, I forgot to point out just how much this build has grown on me. I was in awe when you started, but now. .. That is just one mindblowingly amazing walker.

  3. You may need to loosen all the side panel screws, allow everything to resettle. may allow everything to move a little better…

It may also be worth printing a clip bracket for the battery holder, or replacing screws with magnets.

Also, i note you have 4 switches and 3 weapons which work… i wonder if the 4th is the smoke, or a safety switch to ensure you have the control box connected. It also looks like you could put smoke out of the AA gun via the hole in the middle – if you run a tube to it.

Wonder why the control pannel wasn’t an SPI expansion board (or i2c), rather than the analogue plugs currently used.

  4. My challenge for you is to animate one arm of the soldier so he waves advance. I might also check your hobby place to see if you could find some more members of this battalion that are in the same scale or Sean 3D printing some. If you go this far, the next logical step is to build a battlefield diorama. Great build and so fun to watch.

Is it not for the LEDs?

  6. absolutely loved watching this build take shape. I’ve seen you build a couple of these Garage Kits before and would love to get some myself as they look fantastic… for someone in the UK, where are the best places to look on line to find things like this?

  7. Next time you do decals you should try using a saucer type container as you don’t need to worry about losing them, you can also try a drop of wetting agent (typically sold as dishwasher shine or similar) used when airbrushing and just dab off the surface excess with a cotton bud once mounted.

There should be people online in the UK who haul that stuff but eBay is great for small run garage kits.

  8. For decals I find warm water speeds up the process of separating them from the paper. I’d hesitate however to remove them completely from the backing sheet until you’ve positioned them on the model. Same applies for stickers. In the case of a decal bring it to the surface you’d like to put it on, slide it to the edge of the paper (I use a finger so as not to tear the decal) then slide it across onto the model/slide the backing sheet away.

If you have large, especially long and thin decals, removing them first may cause you no end of headaches. Dunking the whole sheet in water will result in all the decals separating from the sheet and sticking together.

  9. An amazing build, but $700 is waaay to much for my pocket. Do you have any recommandations for other cheaper, good garage kits, or sites that sells them? Off course no need for this size, or electronics.
