DJI RoboMaster S1 Robot Hands-On and Build!
We build and test drive the new DJI RoboMaster S1, an RC robot that has a powerful drive system, blaster capabilities, and robust programming potential. We found that it was really fun to assemble and were really impressed with its responsiveness and FPV control. There’s a lot to unpack here!

This kit is definitely prime for getting a bit of kitbash-weathering treatment – can you imagine how cool that would look?
That is really impressive. While expensive, it is cheaper than I expected it to be. I see on the website that you can code in Scratch and Python which is perfect. Norm, how does the coding work? Does it all have to be written using the app? Or can you sideload in the code somehow?
there’s an option to plug into desktop/laptop for coding, i believe. otherwise, scratch is done via app and presumably not difficult to copy/paste python
This looks awesome! I’m in the UK and it doesn’t seem to be available in our region. Not sure if it’s because of roll-out or local law. Any idea if it’s going to be available this side of the pond?
