i feel i say this every year, but i like how much kayte is always here with the maximum value favourites that will find some use all year round.
re pigments: kayte probably knows this already, but maybe of interest to others. there is kremer pigments, a pigment mill and store based in germany (they have a US online shop) aimed at restorers etc.
while many of their pigments will break the bank and then some (real vermillion, ugh), the real weathering workhorses, earth and iron oxide pigments, start about on par with the milk paint powders and come in a lot of variations of shade, pigment size, and so on. also comes with exact information about hazard factors per pigment.
If you like that ruler you’ll love a Starret double square. I rarely even read the scale since I can just slide the block down and transfer that position straight to the saw or whatever else I’m cutting with.
