Adam Savage’s Favorite Tools: Multi-Blade Utility Knife!
Adam can’t get enough of this new utility knife that he’s been using in the cave! On its surface, it looks like any standard box cutter with snap-off 9mm blades, but this knife also holds extra blade cartridges in its handle for automatic reloading when you finish an entire blade. It holds up to five blades and is super satisfying to use–perfect for quick projects like foamcore or cardboard crafting!

, Did you know that it was designed by Japanese engineer after WW2? He made it because he noticed that cutting blade from USA was not utilizing most of the blade? like just use one side and when it gets bad, just flip it? So this Japanese person came up with this idea.
Fun fact
And…. unavailable on Amazon! The Tested Squad done cleaned them out 🙂
I love these, but the worst thing about the quality ones is that they are hard to get in a left-handed version.
It looks like the blade can’t be rotated 180 degrees so using it with the left hand is a pain in the butt!
..so, Adam, if you decide to design one yourself, please consider us, the left-handed people too, thanks.
Stanley Fine Point was the one I was sold on. Held three segmented blades in the clip and one in the chamber. Can’t find them anywhere. I don’t believe Stanley makes them anymore.
