Cannot wait to see everything you’ve been up to. Visiting Weta is one of my long term goals. The only issue will be that I may not leave
I am excited to see the upcoming content about the flying you all did.
Also, when the skylight opened up I was curious how long it would take to get up and check his metering…. < 30 seconds! Well done.
Holy shit you guys have me excited now lol. Please don’t hold us in suspense for too long!
Holy gosh I’m so excited! If I see you guys while I’m on my lunch break I’ll be sure to say hi!
“When I was jousting…” come back to Maryland and you’ll hear that more often.
While no one can truly take Frank’s place, I would listen to Joey talk about his craft just as readily. He went straight for the camera post skylight.
Great to see him on the podcast. Thx Tested.
Hey guys, if you are outside of the States, shouldn’t you be using centigrade for temperature (when in Rome).
Norm – nice pronunciation on Te Papa.
Welcome to NZ tested
I visited NZ in March and specifically went to Tepapa because of it being mentioned here on tested. The “Gallipoli: The scale of our war” exhibit was amazing, all the bigatures were exquisite with amazing lighting. It was hard to take a bad picture of those installations. I took the Weta tour and dinner package my first day in Wellington, it was fun, I just wish I hadn’t been injured and half out of it (mountain biking fail), also the dinner part was all couples except for me, oh well, still worth it.
At risk of sounding like a hipster, I visited Weta before they were famous, and though there was not much to show then, as it was pre-LOTR, it was still very cool.
Welcome to NZ you three! You REALLY need to come down to the South Island and visit.
Yes, welcome to NZ, and welcome to the future. Everything is fresher here 🙂
I was in Wellington back in October and was amazed when I visited Weta. I got to see a lot of things that you’d shown in the previous Tested videos and even had a great chat with one of the guys there to discover we were both Tested fans and keen makers.
Te Papa and “The Scale of our War” was fantastic, I’m pretty sure they’re double size though, so perhaps 4x volume.
Also Sir Richard Taylor, he’s an actual Knight just like Sir Peter Jackson which is probably why they have suits of Armour ;’-)
Celsius is technically the correct term.
The website at http://www.gallipoli.tepapa.govt.nz/about says it’s at 2.4 times human scale
so slightly larger than double then.
