That’s great! Please come to the maker/hacker space in Louisville, KY. We are LVL 1. Also, if you will, please post maker space tour dates and locations. I met Norm in Anaheim, CA once but I would LOVE to meet everyone in person! I’m a big fan; keep up the good work!
Why are the comments disabled for this video on YouTube?
Spectacular program those folks are heading up. Talk about fighting back tears at the end of the video.
P.S. I’d say that the dumpster fire that is Youtube Comment Sections these days being avoided on a video primarily featuring children is probably a good move.
This makes me so happy. More wonderful stories!
Very inspiring, I hope this continues to grow and extend further. I can’t wait for more!
The Artisan’s Asylum eagerly awaits you!
Because the youtube comments are full of arseholes, and previously when Tested posted videos of Adam’s education-themed stuff, the comments erupted in hate and vitriol directed at children. No need to let the man-children of youtube get their kicks at someone else’s expense this time ’round.
If you make it near Indianapolis, IN, Feel free to stop by Cyberia Maker Space (cyberialtd.org). It’s jam packed full of awesome. From the Home school First Robotics FTC team, Cosplay, Knife making guild, HAM Radio, Space bridge simulator, and tons more! Also shout out to our guys at LVL 1 in Louisville, KY. Great group down there as well.
Unfortunately, as pointed out, YouTube comments in the past on some of our children-focused makerspace videos have been distressing. We have decided to suspend YouTube comments on the makerspace videos in this series that feature juveniles; the videos featuring adults will allow commenting.
Hey Adam, awesome video! You should definitely check out the Fab Lab that was recently built in Somerville, MA, it’s currently being integrated with both the vocational education and general ed population in the high school. It’s also used at night by the community to teach more about manufacturing. Definitely a place to check out if you find some time! Also it was already posted here but Artisan Asylum is also a cool makerspace in Somerville to check out.
Gotcha gotcha. I could understand how that could get out of hand. Thanks for the quality content recently!
I never look at the YouTube comments. Never useful. Tested commenters are overwhelmingly constructive. I’ve picked up some great references, links, and tips along the way. I read the comments on everything here. It’s a great community.
This is awesome!!! Come visit us at BLDG 61 in Boulder Colorado! Just over a year old and the projects so far have been RAD.

Come visit us at the Danbury Innovation center in Danbury Connecticut!
Adam, you’re a class act. I was a little apprehensive at the beginning of the video/disappointed that we would just see canned lined from director types.
So happy when you jumped in to meet the kids, everything came alive and your great way with people showed through and showed some real moments.
Please keep up this passion with teaching kids and us all the making way!
Sunny Southern California has https://www.umakers.org/ in Claremont, CA. Come and visit our school/makerspace/fablab for artist, engineers and entrepreneurs!
We would love to have you visit Akron MakerSpace in Akron, Ohio next time you are in the area. We have all the traditional makerspace trappings with an emphasis on woodworking and metal fabrication. Thank you, Adam and crew, for helping us to jump start Nation of Makers, and bringing Maker culture to the forefront.
Can you please get the name and any ordering information you can about the embroidery machine?
Thank you in advance.
Aloha Adam,
I’d like to invite you to visit our makerspaces at ‘Iolani School in Honolulu, Hawaii. We have one in our Lower School (K-6) and one in the Upper School (7-12). Come on over to paradise and see what we are making.
You can check us out at the following sites:
Lower School – http://iolanik-6fablab.blogspot.com/
Upper School – http://www.iolani.org/about/sullivan-center
Great content, and great work, Adam.
We just opened a great New maker space in San Angelo TX. Steam Central at the Tom Green Stevens Central library. I am a huge fan and it would mean a whole lot of you came by on your tour.
Greetings from California! We have a Video Game Design Charter High School with our own maker-space/character shop in Lathrop California. We built our space based on what Adam said he has in his own shop, and from watching episodes of Tested!
Adam has been a huge inspiration for the development of this program, and for us stepping outside of the traditional “assembly line” style of education. We’d love to host a visit if you all are interested.
