It concerns me that the editing, or rather lack of editing is killing the watchability of this video. I am your target audience and I am an Aardman fan but this video is boring almost at once. It’s basically one shot of an interview and that to me seems lazy. Where are all the shots of the actual animation being done for example? This seems like an ongoing problem at Tested, please up your editing game.
weird, I thought this was the best one yet. Previously they’ve seemed a bit awkward, this one started a bit that way but the aardman guy really opened up.
Great video. Nothing wrong with it, editing or otherwise. In fact, slightly disappointed it wasn’t longer. Could have easily listened to that for an hour…
I disagree also – this was fantastic, and my favorite so far. Really was detailed and loads of information and passion showing through from the director. Not too long either could have enjoyed a deep dive on each character. I hope we get to see a real animator in action.
Thanks Tested team!
i also think this was one of the best ones yet. i appreciate the depth to go into an aspect of the process uninterrupted. and really, i don’t mind if an interviewee is more or less ‘awkward’ – they are people who work behind the camera, why would i expect screen-polished performances from them? i’d rather have something real, an actual craftsman talking shop.
Agreed, great video as it is. Gave me a great feeling of being the “fly on a wall” , there with them. I have always loved Aardman but over the past few weeks my admiration and respect for them has exploded. The amount of time and access they have given to Adam and this series is astounding, and everyone is so gracious, honest and patient the pride they have in their work is lovely and refreshing to witness. Thank you for making this run of videos.
