Building a CNC Router and Plasma Machine!
One of the newest tools in Frank’s shop is a CNC Router Parts industrial-grade CNC cutting machine. This router and plasma cutter is actually a kit that you can put together, and we go through that process with the help of CNC Router Parts’ Drew Cairns. During the assembly, we learn how this machine was designed and see its capabilities in the making of some cool furniture! Next up, plasma cutting!

I have a 48 x 96 machine and love it. I’m able to cut at more than 400 inches per minute through mdf and plywood and foam, and also able to cut thin sheet aluminum.
One tip, in mach 3, don’t stop and restart the program, mach3 has a bug and can lose track of coordinates. Also, instead of go to zero button (0,0,0) I switch to second tab and type in G0 X0Y0 to go to zero without going to z=0
