I’m confused about the 28 gauge wires. You said that there’s an insulating coating on the wires, yet you wrapped them around the leads on the leds. Did you strip them exactly at the points where you wrapped the wires? Otherwise, how could you power them if they’re insulated?
That red enamel coating melts fairly easily. He applied enough heat by soldering. Not 100% reliable because you can’t see if the coating is gone. But stripping a wire that thin can be difficult. Alternatives are flash burning the coating off with and low powered lighter or maybe a chemical dip. I generally use the lighter… just don’t melt the wire! He did say this is the quick and dirty way.
Where can I find this Kit. Would really like to know the price.
