Adam also gushes over the design of Maker Cabinet’s Iris compass, made of beautifully machined brass. With all of these drafting tools, he’s also using one of his favorite pencils: the venerated Blackwing 602!

I too saw Simone use the iris compass and quickly bought 2* after Adam briefly mentioned it briefly online a month or so ago.
Like adam seems to have done I too did not read the instructions, If I had of done I would of found out that the stand isn’t really a stand, it’s main use is to centre the iris , so you can draw any size circle around a particular point.
To do this you open the iris fully put the wooden base into the iris and the point of the base is now in the centre of the iris. – MIND BLOWN

He’s an amazing self taught window designer/visual merchandiser with an amazing technical brain , who despite all these days of modern CAD he still drawers all design stuff by pen.

I see your mechanical pencils on the table, and while those are great, (disposable and with a functionally large eraser) you should try the Kuru Toga (https://www.amazon.com/Mechanical-Pencil-Roulette-Metallic-M510171P-43/dp/B004OHNTVC/) It’s a fantastic little pencil, with some great features. I honestly cant tell you the number I’ve purchased as gifts over the years.
