Premium: Toys and Stuff in Norm’s Garage
Since I’m working from home today, thought it would be neat to show you my garage workspace, where I tinker with craft projects on weekends while staying off the Internet. In addition to teasing some future Show and Tell projects, here are some random toys and collectibles that I bought over the Winter break.

Sorry guys, because I encoded this with Handbrake at home, it looks like progressive playback (“streaming”) isn’t working right now with this player. That means when you click play, the player has to download the entire file (~200MB) before playback starts. I’ll re-encode back at the office and re-upload it first thing Monday.
I included the direct link to the video so you could download it too. Hope that helps!
edit: looks like 480p is playing progressive just fine. try that one. the problem was constant framerate vs. variable framerate. re-encoding the other resolutions now!
Premium. 🙁
The download works fast and easy and the picture and sound is just fine though the whole video. Thanks for thinking of these kind of little things to make videos of. Behind the scenes videos are always interesting and I would love to see many more, and hopefully much longer, videos in the future. I dont think that too many premium members will have an issue if more simple unedited videos are made as well. They are still high quality and we are willing to trade some editing time to gain more content.
I’m really looking forward to the Tomenosuke build. Also, is that an Olly Moss Star Fox I spot? 🙂
Now you need to make an ED-209 stop motion movie.
annnd all the videos should be fixed now!
Great video and something which seems at home as premium content. More videos like this would be very much welcomed.
Thanks, Norm. Really enjoyed this. I had some trouble with the video at first, but I just reloaded the page and it worked perfectly from there on after.
More from Norm’s ManCave!
Thanks for sharing Norm. I love the premium content so far. Cheers
I would love for you to build the knife, Norm. Get a second one in a different color.
Also I was worried you wouldn’t show the ED-209 because you kept pushing it aside and talking about everything else, heh.
That was rad. Definitely looking forward to more garage videos. And I can totally relate to buying a cheaper figure in anticipation for a better one. I just got the Marvel Legends ASM2 Spidey because I can’t wait until summer for the new Mafex one.
PS – The direct download was much appreciated.
Very cool look into your man cave. and good premium content as well.
Can’t wait to see more of your mini builds. BTW, have you seen the Star Wars Metal Earth kits? They’re similar to the typewriter papercraft kit except it is sheets of metal. I picked up an R2, an AT-AT and Vader’s TIE this weekend at one of the japanese bookstores so they should be available at the same shops as the papercraft kits. They are about 1/2 the price of the papercraft ones which is really nice. They are also on Thinkgeek.
Finally, the videos have been streaming fine for me but the download option is highly welcome. 🙂
Stop saying “man cave”, it’s dumb and really sounds childish.
Now time for Will and Joey’s home video 🙂
Agreed.
nice vid
Yea
I came across the Metal Earth kits this weekend. I immediately thought of as well. I picked up the P-51 as a gentle introduction. Looking forward to building it with my son.
PREMIUM…..
How is this premium content? I get it when you sell knowledge or instructional videos, but this is just entertainment, unless you are a very funny guy I don’t personally see the point.
Anyway, love the site just dont dig this.
The direct-download link is a nice touch, that way I don’t have to watch it in that embedded media player.
hi
Thanks Norm, Looking forward to seeing more of these!
Hey Norm – because you opened that Mars Attacks figure, I have to share these pictures of Fry’s – Burbank. It could be the BEST FRY’S EVER! Check out all the photos… http://www.bit.ly/FrysBurbankPhotos
