Premium: Adam Reacts to the Zero Theorem Trailer
Adam, a huge Terry Gilliam fan (don’t worry, we’re still doing the Totally Unauthorized Commentary for Brazil), watches the trailer for Gilliam’s upcoming movie The Zero Theorem. Here is his unbridled reaction and thoughts on the trailer.

I’m getting some serious “Deep Thought” vibes from the massive computer. I think this film is going to be an existential head scratcher (a la Brazil or The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus).
No problems getting this to run in 720p/1080p on my two/three year old laptop, Will. The old videos sometimes stuttered a bit.
Hooray! 🙂
Both the 720p and the 480p version shot my CPU usage through the roof. (Mid 2009 MacBook Pro, OS X 10.9.1, Safari 7.0.1)
I’d watch it. Maybe Norm or Will knows an easy answer to this, is there a good blu-ray transfer of 12 Monkeys?
Your getting close to making me get a premium sub you SOB’s.
It’s worth it just to support to the main content of the site, all the extra stuff is just the extra gallon of cream that makes everything better.
No other films stick in my head for longer than Terry’s. I will be driving down the road see something and BLAM I’m replaying 12 monkeys in my head, happened just the other day and i haven’t seen 12 monkeys in 10 years. Bits of time bandits stay with me to this day from seeing it in the theater when i was in 1st grade.
replay on my laptop played fine. No issues at 1080p
No replay issues here at 1080p.
This is the first video that I have watched. Is that a Nostromo in the cabinet behind Adam?
cpu usage 95% unwatchable w/o 100% buffering.
The first time I hit play it was still stuttering garbage, but after I clicked around the video was mostly fine while still buffering all the way through 720p. The video still doesn’t scale properly with screen size though, which is pants on head retarded.
Plays fine on a 3rd gen ipad ios7.0.2 in safari over wifi … more importantly looks like a n interesting film
I actually liked the Imaginarium of Dr. P. quite a lot. Excited for this one. It would have been nice to not have a model playing the female lead. Probably a plot thing…
, if you have not watched Franklyn (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0893402/) I think it would be right up your alley. Adam would probably love it as well.
Is Adam’s Macbook anodised on the outside, or am I seeing things?
Playback was great on Archlinux (Kernel 3.13.5-1-ARCH x86_64 GNU/Linux) in chromium (version 33.0.1750.117). I watched the 1080p on a 1920×1080 pixel display.
This looks exciting, best Gilliam flick since Brazil? Very, very tantalizing. Wasn’t much of a fan of Dr. Parnassus in spite really wanting to. Gilliam movies are very yes or no, it’s hard to be in the middle about them. They always have promise though and I’m excited to see them.
Had no problems with 480p
1080P stalled at 15 seconds in and wouldnt let me skip over the bad spot. Had to watch at 720 which was a resized (boardered) full screen not just a decreased resolution.
