  1. Oh man that sucks on the broken ESC. It’ll feel so great once its all fixed and configured and your flying it.

I find that the RTL mode is great to have as one of the pick-able flight modes on the transmitter. Its my “Im confused as to which direction the multicopter is facing and the control inputs I’m trying aren’t doing what I want it to do” fixer.

  2. The title of this episode should be called, “Quadcopter Drone, Part 5: Disconnected!”

At Tested, failure is always an option.. 😝

  3. Did anyone elses video freakout and go to green around 15:50?

Nope. It played perfectly fine on my tablet..

  4. Did anyone elses video freakout and go to green around 15:50?

Happened to me multiple times on the last 2 vids. I think it was that my browser didn’t load the full thing.

  5. I am so happy I updated my firmware and skipped this bug without knowing about it.

I have the pixhawk with arducopter 3.1.5; have not had any flipping problems on landing in stabilize mode.

RTL works great and will get back to its start position and land within a 2-3 foot radius.

Loiter mode works great and you can land it in this mode easily as well.

Alt-hold mode will trade altitude for horizontal distance, so the further away you want to go the higher it should be, I learned this by gloriously crashing.

  6. If you start flying further distances, you might want to angle the antenna on the transmitter 90 degrees to the left or right. The radio signal radiates out from the barrel of the antenna, but not from the tip, so pointing the antenna at your multirotor will give you the worst possible signal.
