  1. Disney movies were a huge part of my childhood, it’s awesome to hear other people talk about with the same passion. I totally agree that there’s definitely a void where those used to be.

I was almost entirely certain that the ducks were created AFTER the movie did insanely well. Went to Wiki, wiki confirmed:

A real-life version of the Mighty Ducks[8] began in 1993, a year after the movie was released, as a National Hockey League expansion franchise. The team was owned by the Walt Disney Company, which had distributed the film and was continuing to produce the sequels and the TV series. The team was renamed the Anaheim Ducks after Disney sold it in 2005.

Bonus points for “In the pipe, 5 x 5” I say that constantly. Also “Blast off and nuke it from orbit. It’s the only way.”

  2. Duck Porn hah! Howard the Duck! need more Howard the duck ….fred McMurray was the actor you were looking for btw for flubber .

  3. Oh man! I’m doing something different while listening to them. Sometimes I switch back to see where they are with the building, but probably missed the easter eggs. Would you be so kind as to tell me in a private message?

    Thank you!

  4. Duck porn Was at 19:34 kinda ironic because the mighty ducks was like the Howard the duck of the 90’s

32:00 Flight of Navigator has voice over from Pee Wee Herman

  5. Ahh, when will Norm find out that he put that 2×2 slanted triangle piece towards the front on wrong?! It’s killing me. I hope it doesn’t last till the end and even though he finishes first he is disqualified for it. Something tells me he would disqualify himself for that if it were to happen too.

  6. Disney created the Anaheim Mighty Ducks after the 2nd movie came out using the same uniforms as seen in the movie. So the movie didn’t really promote the team, the movie spawned the team.

Eventually, Disney sold the team and the team became the Anaheim Ducks, no “Mighty”.

  7. Watching these builds at 2am in the morning after finishing work and needing to wind down.

Thanks for having this random shit to watch! 🙂

  8. The alien/ship in Flight of the Navigator was voiced, Pee Wee-style, by Paul Rubens, if memory serves, which very much nullified any scary factor.

  9. Finale idea.. Two sand crawlers in a cornfield.. two baseball bats..high speed camera.. send them both to their shallow graves “casino” style and bury them

  10. Tagline: Two dudes, from slightly different generations, who know nothing of each-other’s cultural references, come together, to build Lego.

  11. I believe the stacks for the last lego build off were Norm was going to eat a dozen hard boiled eggs and Will was going to drink day old gas station coffee on camera.

  12. This content was meant to stay behind a paywall. And even though I find that .gif to be hilarious, they might not see it the same way. But, then again, l could be completely wrong.. 😉

  13. I didn’t realize the comments were accessible by people who are not premium.

Please let me know if I should remove it >,<

  14. It took three days of watching, but I finally succumbed to the siren’s call. I’ve got a big-ish LEGO kit on it’s way here. My first to build as an AOFL 😉

  15. HOLY SHIT I’M HAVING A MOMENT ABOUT FLIGHT OF NAVIGATOR THANKS TO WILL. I could place a name to that thing for what must now be over 8 years. I watched it as a kid at least a few times on the Disney Channel and now I know that was Flight of the Navigator. Also it’s been a real long time since I thought about that movie anyway so all kinds of memory explosions are happening right now.

  16. Flight of the Navigator and The Cat From Outer Space are AWESOME movies, I loved them as a kid, along with all the other Disney movies.

One extra note about The Cat From Outer Space is that the collar also let the cat move things telekinetically, which is how they operate their spacecrafts.

And the spaceship/alien (who was named Max, if I remember correctly, I can’t remember the boys name) in Flight of the navigator ‘took’ the boy to see how much his brain could hold. Max filled it up with all of his star-charts, then was damaged somehow, which is why he returns the boy to the wrong time. But Max also looses all of his navigational info, so he needs the boy back because there’s a copy of the star-charts in his head. Hence, the boy is the Navigator.

PS: Love Tested, keep up the good work.
