Tested Builds: LEGO Sandcrawlers, Part 9
Well that gambit failed, so it’s back to speed building as we inch closer to the completed Sandcrawlers. In case you didn’t know, this set isn’t just a display model, it’s a playset with a bunch of new mini-figs. Including one of Will’s all-time favorites! #TeamNorm – done in by a LEGO Sandcrawler crane…
Norm you seem give up, but you shouldnt..Beside i love the way guys you put some funny things post image ..like in 19 minutes there is Will head on one lego.. Looooll
And the head moved when Will spoke!
At this rate I guess the last episode of this series will just be Norm building while Will watches Norm building 😛
So the last episode is just going to be Norm building alone while Will hovers over him? lol
Why does mini fig Luke have his lightsaber?
That’s not canon.
For that matter, why does Uncle Owen have one?
I’m sure you already figured it out It’s Owen Lars, not Obi-Wan 🙂
It seems that if you jump forward in the video, it has to buff from the beginning before you can see it. You probably know it allready, but it would be a neat feature if you could just jump in where liked too. Cheers!
Any time Norm says “What the whaaa” I just hear “Flava Flav”
When I first heard about this kit from a video you guys posted early in the year, I was excited and really wanted one. Now after like 7 hours of building this, it just doesn’t seem that fun anymore.
I am noticing that Joeys Editing is getting a little more experimental with these each day. In a good way .
The music and the fireball are a nice touch 😀
After watching this series (and the last lego build of with the Super Star Destroyer), I think I’d much rather have the SSD set to build than the Sand Crawler, but the Sand Crawler does look interesting as well.
To feed my Lego desires, I picked up the Spaceship set from the Lego Movie over the weekend. I attempted to do a timelapse video of the build, but found out after I was done the whole sequence was out of focus as my phone (Nexus 5) had focused on the wrong spot. Though, I did learn that I needed to use a better camera with a good tripod, verify focus before starting and take photos more frequently [at least for building Lego, a 2s interval was not frequent enough for a good video in the end].
Love the editing. The head of Will on C3PO body when Norm is redoing the crane is awesome. Music and fire effects are getting cool.
The look on Norms face at the end of the episode was classic #TeamNorm
Those aren’t edits. They’re all done live (during recording) with something called a Tricaster. It’s basically the most magical, bestest thing ever. That’s why the episodes recorded towards the end of the first build day had more stuff going on because Joey was getting increasingly
boredadventurous.ahh I didn’t realize he was doing it in a single mix, makes sense though. Certainly saves you the time of having to go back through it after and remember what and when and edits to make between the cameras.
Why do file names change at ep8? When listed by filename, the order is now wrong. Otherwise good 😀
