LEGO with Friends: Veronica Belmont, Part 4
We’re nearing the end of our build day, so the gang starts freaking out about just how much there is left to build in this week’s Lego with Friends! The AT-AT, Mini Cooper, and Spaceship are in various states of completion, but we remain optimistic. Conversation turns to our convention travels confusion about actors in superhero films. Fun times! Having built two of these three kits, I can’t imagine doing it in one sitting! Being frazzled is understandable.
Nice plug for Dragon Con in there. I’m already planning to be there this September.
That LEGO movie kit Norm is building doesn’t appeal to me much. Even if you consider it’s from a cool movie, and has that kit-bashed “a kid made it” relevance, it’s still ugly and ungainly.
The Mini Cooper looks like fun, though.
About Aliens I don’t really want to stick up too much for James Cameron, but I have to take a bit of umbrage with the budget comments. Not only was Norm’s quoted budget correct (more or less), but James Cameron worked like a dog to bring that film in on time and under budget. Post-Titanic, his films have been known for having bloated budgets, but in the early years he ran a pretty tight ship, having cut his teeth working on no-budget productions for Roger Corman where you always had to do more with less.
well when Boston had recording breaking snow fall, they had no place to put it. Boston is a nice city!
I appreciated Joey playing around with the flames and dragon around the 44 minute mark! Made me laugh in my super quiet office! #WorkingHard
The Whiplash kid AND the TFIOS kid are in Insurgent. The Whiplash kid is the asshole and the TFIOS dude is the brother.
I remember a video titled how to win an Oscar, or so, which showed eaxctly what do you have to do, to increase your chances. For example sick third world child suffering type documentary, or old people were winner shorts for the last years. Look it up, it’s really interesting and funny.
As a guy who owns a beer sign company, sometimes I go wandering around toy stores looking for ideas to spark my creativity. Drunks/stoners definitely do like the the same things as kids. Think Barbie disco ball.
What lens/camera are you using Joey? The depth of field is nice, takes some getting used to. I’m not used to seeing DOF in Internet video.
James Franco does what he wants to, is pretty successful.
Hrm… The window for the video isn’t showing up…
Video is working now but hearing praise for the Divergent series makes me wish this had become a lost episode. That series (book + movie) are so so soooooooo bad.
I don’t mind if you say “guys”.
Evidently Joey got bored at 44:20.
