Please be careful where you buy your Lego kits. Multiple stores in the Portland Oregon area have been hit by thieves shoplifting expensive UCS kits. Buy from reputable stores or demand a sales receipt when buying on Ebay and Craigslist.
I seem to recall Adam mention in this podcast that building a full size house out of lego would be impossible, but in fact it has done by english television presenter James May ( from Top Gear ) in his series “James Mays Toy Stories” where the premise of the show was to take a toy from the past and get it to perform in the real world. Building a house out of lego was complicated as lego bricks are designed to come apart and a glue less solution needed to be found.
He built a scaletrix ( model car racing ) track on the site of a real track track, Made a model rail which ran for many miles between 2 english towns that had its railway line de-commissioned. He even had planes to fly a remote control glider across the english channel, but unfortunately the route had to be changed due to red tape with inter nation flight regulations.
