Thanks for this, fun to hear some back stories and of course the kits are awesome looking. May have to get one now. I really like Allen and his work (looked him up thanks to you all, don’t watch much T.V.) and hope to see him more on Tested!
I got hooked on these Bandai kits a couple months ago after watching the Perfect Grade Gundam videos on Tested. My second and third kits were these 1/144 and 1/72 x-wings that Allen is putting together. The larger one is my profile pic…I think it turned out pretty good. I wasn’t too sure about the snap together aspect at first, but the engineering on these kits is so good, that I love how everything fits together. I’m glad these kits are getting some attention.
Decals over stickers all the way! Decals will hug to the contours much better because they soften up and will go into the panel likes. Use products like Micro Sol and Micro Set and those decals will look like they’re painted on.
Ohh god. When they tell you to put the stickers on in the middle of the directions, you really should, because it’s basically impossible to do after the fact in those cases.
I never watched the final season of MB, did M5 close or is it still going?
Decals are so much better, stickers are horrible, they look like things are just stuck on.
