Totally agree about Nintendo LABO. I finally got the Variety Kit for Christmas and am absolutely loving it. Been building it with my daughter and the making part is so much fun, it’s total genius and so “Nintendo” by design. It bugs me a little when people say you’re paying a lot for some cardboard, but it’s so much more than that. Obviously you get the game cartridge too, and the software is superbly done. Plus you have the garage section where you can make your own creations and code up some games. It’s a joy to make and play with and now the Variety Kit is around £50 in the UK it’s well worth it if you’re a maker and also love video games.
nice pics but that candle looks more like the villain from who framed roger rabbit.
I don’t suppose there’s any way to enjoy the Labo with out a Switch, is there? Otherwise it becomes a far more expensive proposition.
Very interesting stuff, that filter system might actually be interesting. Probably non-sense but my home gets duuuuusty very quickly and with a kid who has a mild form of asthma, it might be nice if it works to keep that down. My 3D printer would like that as well.
Also, love the outro. 🙂
Not sure why 2018 is the year of the melting Nazi.
Yeah it’s not like Nazis have been all over the news every single day or anything

Someone asked on YouTube about the board games and books off screen:
She Has her Mother’s Laugh by Carl Zimmer on the history of heredity
What is Real by Adam Becker on the history of quantum mechanics
Aroused by Randi Hutter Epstein on the history of hormones (and a jar of pituitary glands!)
Splendor, Sushi Go Party, Where To? (The game my wife made), and Forbidden Island (we were on a big Matt Leacock kick this year). Not indie hits, but all games I played consistently with my 8 year old.
Happy New Year Tested fam!
Face melts just left me loling…Thanks to you folks for bringing endless hours of podcasts.
You guys even did the math, I believe that is 160 MJs worth of candle there!
