Lenovo Mirage Solo VR Headset Review!
We test and review the Lenovo Mirage Solo standalone virtual reality headset! What makes this headset unique is its Worldsense inside-out tracking system, which gives you six degrees of free movement while using it. We show how that works, its limitations, and see what 6DOF adds to Google’s Daydream VR platform. Plus, we review Beat Saber!

I watched the projections episode on Oculus Go and got very excited so I ordered it right away.
One day later I noticed this video and at first I thought about cancelling my Oculus Go order.
But I then thought about it a little bit and I remembered I’m one of the not so many people who were excited about Google Tango.
I bought the Phab 2 pro and the project was killed within a year, with NO new content coming out that entire year. So I was stuck with the launch apps.
I’m seeing the same thing happening here and this time it’s even worse. This time there’s no content for the 6DOV, the only feature setting it apart from Oculus. I also had a look at the daydream content and compared it to the oculus content… it’s no match.
So not falling for it this time.
Keeping my Oculus Go!
Also have a DK2 btw, so I know from experience I’m more the VR media consumer than a VR gamer.
Would love command&conquer in VR though!!!
I watch the Projections segment most every week and I love the hardware reviews. But I do have one nagging complaint. It’s not just Tested – it’s pretty much everywhere. It seems that the prevailing wisdom is that everyone getting into VR comes from a gaming background. So I can’t seem to find much information on basic navigation and controller functions as it’s assumed that we already know. But for people like me that don’t play games there’s not much info. For instance, I get into the Steam room and I can’t figure out for the life of me how to do anything in there. If anyone has any suggestions for good resources, I’m all ears.
That said, I did buy a Dell MR headset a month ago (a good budget way to get started) and I’m having a blast. Can’t wait for for the next Foo show release.
