Podcast - This Is Only a Test
Episode 71 – The Tree Always Wins – 6/23/2011
On this very special Listener’s Choice episode, Will battles a tree and loses, Norm discusses freezing his jeans, and Gary lists his favorite Vegas buffet. All that, plus the possible Hulu sale, the Nokia N9 and Windows Phone 7 phones, Apple television rumors, Google vs. the FTC, US patent number 7,966,578, and another scintillating episode of fake outtakes.

Yes!
Will, just post on craigslist that you have free firewood. Worked for me with a fallen oak. People came by with chainsaws, cut up what they wanted, and left. Didn’t pay a dime!
🙂
This Episode will always be known as the San Fran Cat Edition to me…
Excellent.
Delayed intro!
I love it!
As someone who has been to Vegas nearly twenty times and is quite familiar with the city, I was applauding all of Will’s restaurant picks. The Wynn buffet is still my personal favorite, but Gary’s recommendation is certainly in the elite echelon as well.
Lotus of Siam and Rosemary’s are the two “insider” restaurants that feel like hidden gems but are in fact deservedly ultra popular. Which means Norm won’t ever visit either.
The crew talked briefly about suites on the show, but check out this monster at Encore. 6,000 square feet of luxury, even comes with a private butler pantry.

Halfway through and so far this is another great one. I don’t think there has been a bad This is Only a Test 😛
This is for norm and anybody who is really interested in improving their style (or at least learning what the hell chambray means.) http://putthison.com/ is a great website and series put together by Radio Sweetheart, Jesse Thorne. It’s great if you want to do an entire wardrobe overhaul or just want to look good when you wear a suit.
Hopefully my question gets read in next podcast, I resubmitted it so yeah.
I am very interested in the outcome of the tree situation.
I am pretty sure the vitual J-pop star was crated specifically for the one commercial.

Short story and video about the latest CG j-pop star. I’d say it looks really convincing, but the mouth looks disconcerting at times. Almost as it were convulsing.
Good show guys.
Thanks for sharing the show notes.
Gary’s little story about DJ Astromaus was absolutely fucking hilarious.
As much as I think Ryan’s distate for the incorrect use of the word ‘broadcast’ is a little unnecessary, I cringe when you guys say ‘spin’ in regards to turntable.fm. But anyway, that’s a nitpick. Much love. 😉
Will you shouldn’t pay to get rid of that wood, people will take ANYTHING for free!
Good to hear that Mr. Whitta is successful in taking better care of his body, and i mean that in the least condescending and most congratulatory way possible.
Wait, so if carbs make you fat, how is it some cultures (let’s go with Asians for example) that pretty much consume carbs three meals a day are generally less overweight? Genetic predisposition to using carbs better, for lack of a better term?
Thanks, I’ll definitely give that a watch.
love the show fellas
I am catching up on the podcasts and currently listening to this episode. Your estimate for the tree sounds CRAZY. Cypress is heavy, but I assume power lines had to go down or a crane was needed?
Also Saab Automobile AB is not gone.
