  1. I think you password protected it or put it in a member’s only folder. Can’t seem to download the audio version.

  2. Lol

    Smooth

Now I just have to charge my phone to download it

Borrowed sisters iPhone to see what was up while she naps

  3. Garry, I lova ya like a brother, but you’re full of shit when it comes to the memory stick discussion.

The Vita memory stick prices is the worst memory pricing offence you’ve ever seen? Really? Have you looked at Apple’s pricing lately? They charge you a $100 for a 16GB upgrade for their iPhone/iPad.

Makes that $120 32GB look quite nice by comparison, doesn’t it?

  4. About the chili discussion…

I bought this a couple of weeks ago:

It has a rating of 1,041,427 heat units on the Scoville scale. I was genuinely afraid of using it after reading about it on the internet, but in the end I ended up putting in 2-3 drops of it into my pot of spaghetti. I usually put in about 3-4 peri peri chilis (bird eye chilis) but this was way hotter, but it was edible though. But one hour after eating my stomach started hurting like you wouldn’t believe it. The worst stomach ache I’ve had in years.

I am going to use it again though.

The worst bit was when he compared the price of a 32 GB Vita memory card to the price of a 320 GB 360 hard drive like they are the same type of technology. The fact is that MS has been gouging people on memory accessories for the 360 going back to the original Core unit which had no internal storage and required you to buy either a 64 MB memory card for $39.99 or a 20 GB hard drive for $99.99 just to save your game progress.

Sony’ extortionate prices for their proprietary Vita memory cards are just them copying a successful business model after they made no money at all on PS3 memory accessories.

  6. I totally get the Internet rage behind the offensive prices Sony is charging for PS Vita memory cards but I don’t get how that’s an outrage when paying $100 to get an extra 16GB of 100% proprietary, non-replaceable/upgradeable memory in your iOS device is apparently fine. It’s exactly the same scenario, except at least with Vita, presumably third party memory cards will eventually come out and drive prices down, something which can’t happen with iOS devices. I don’t get the double standard and this isn’t because it’s Apple, I’d hold the same opinion of any other manufacturer as well.

Also, the 3DS is outselling the original DS over the same period. Not saying there isn’t an argument to be made about how it’s a different market now etc. but claiming there’s “tepid engagement to 3DS” is a false argument.

  7. that KFC bowl is IMO the best thing on their menu, and if you have serious health concerns you probably aren’t going to KFC in the first place. live a little guys – don’t knock it till you try it 🙂

In all fairness, Sony pulled the same type of thing with the PSP when it launched. I remember paying something like $78 for an 4GB mem stick 5 years ago…. and I was ecstatic cause it was on sale!

But were those proprietary? I think that was just them pulling a Blu-ray and “embracing” technology before it was affordable.

Also, fuck everyone else. Regardless of Apple and MS and everything else, it’s bullshit. That’s all there is to it, it’s a MASSIVE rip off, and the rest isn’t fucking important, because it doesn’t change it.

  10. The Xbox memory cards should not be given a pass. Until they allowed USBs and cloud saves it was way easier than account recovery. I used one ever time I went on vacation to a friend’s house to play. The price has gone down, but it’s still $40/G. It used to be $70. It’s always been egregious.

  11. Does anyone know what headphones Norm mentioned on the podcast? Looking at getting a new pair around Christmas.
