Noo you mixed them up.
Faramir is Boromir’s (Sean Bean) brother.
Eomer (Karl Urban) is Eowyn’s (the woman who has a crush on Aragorn) brother, and she marries Faramir at the end of the movie.
LotR is no GoT man! No incest. Or at least that close.
P
I’m sorry to be that guy, but Norm and Will, you’re mistaken.
Kevin Smith still does his yearly Saturday night Comic Con panel/Q&A in Hall H, and has done every year since I believe 1995. The podcast Norm mentioned is Hollywood Babble-On, Smith’s podcast with Ralph Garman of KROQ. That podcast has been, and will again this year, be done off site of the Convention Center on Friday night. Smith’s Podcast appearance Friday night in San Diego is in addition to Smith’s panel Saturday night in Hall H, not instead of.
Here is the link to Smith’s panel on the Comic Con schedule for this year:

Video of Smith’s panels from years prior to this year can be found on youtube.
So many *plural of Prius* in California.
What lens are you shooting with this SDCC?
Ah! This reminds me of the CES trip a couple of years ago 🙂
uh-oh. Guess I should tune out of Tested for a week or so for this comic book stuff.
Fantastic podcast! Love that I’m just sitting in on a road trip.
I have many options! 50mm 1.2, 35mm 1.4, 17-40 4, 24-104 4
Thinking of using the 35mm and 17-40 as the primary lenses
Norm I am sure you know this, just from the beginning of this podcast, there is a Pinball Museum that you can play around in in Las Vegas. I used to live in LV and go there a bunch. I have not lived in LV in a few years but I remember an old second run movie theater next door as well, so you could go play pin ball and then see a movie.

As I recall the 50 1.2 is pretty heavy so you’re probably better off the 35mm for portraits. Plus it’s wider.
the 50 1.2 is actually fairly compact and light, compared to my sigma 50 1.4 but after shooting with the 50 all yesterday, i do think that i need to switch to the 35 to get a little wider, and use the 17-40 at mostly the 20-24 range for group shots.
Dammit Will use your turn signals! SMOG!
If you turn the audio off, it’s kind of like playing that Penn and Teller Desert Bus game…
On another note, I wasted a crap ton of money in my childhood playing/attempting to complete Time Crisis and its various sequels.
California is less green than I had always imagined.

V C Section 22107 Turning Movements and Required Signals
Turning Movements and Required Signals
22107. No person shall turn a vehicle from a direct course or move right or left upon a roadway until such movement can be made with reasonable safety and then only after the giving of an appropriate signal in the manner provided in this chapter in the event any other vehicle may be affected by the movement.
California gets most of its precipitation in the winter, so the grass is pretty green then, but not in the summer. In the Midwest down through the great plains, that’s pretty much reversed. Beyond evergreen forests, I haven’t really been anywhere in the US that’s green all year round.
I drive a tractor almost every day. With the right tires (road tires), it’s not all that bad. Across America, though? Nope.
Awesome podcast, guys, can’t wait to see the CC content.
It’s like the videos that are filmed from the perspective of a train, you know, where you can see the train going on and on and on along some famous tracks.
In fact, I fell asleep after ten minutes 🙂
58, Will: Right now, we’re going about 80 MPH. Notice the sign on the right side of the road states Speed Limit 55…. Nice one, MORE SPEED!
I thought so too at first but pretty sure the 55mph sign says “all vehicles when towing”, but he did pass a 70mph sign about 3 seconds before.
Yes, I did see that as well. I guess it would be a 55 when towing sign. MORE SPEED!
Went to see Pacific Rim on the guys’ recommendation today. It’s a big budget B-movie. One of the dumbest sci-fi movies I have seen. Unless you are obsessed with or nostalgic about cheesy monster movies, pass on this one.
Ah the dreaded Sacramento/San Francisco to LA road trip. I’ve driven that portion of I 5 too many times. Did the trip 4th of July weekend in fact. Somehow this video is still mesmerizing though, looking for familiar landmarks etc.
Also I-5 and 101 aren’t the only ways from central to so Cal, you can also take 99, but its not as convenient to and from San Francisco. When going to Sac though the scenery is a bit more interesting and it can have less traffic.
Also, I applaud your I-5 etiquette.
The speed limit is 75, and 80 is still below average traffic speed (not including semis).
Gave up after half an hour.
Tractor movie = The Straight Story, with Richard Farnsworth.
It’s gre–oh, Joey just said it. Yeah, it’s great.
What’s this? I distinctly remember Will saying he didn’t go to see Inception because the wife wanted to see Scott Pilgrim (I think it might have been during the “giant box of twinkies” video).
I was with you in the hall for the 300 presentation. 🙂 That was the last comic con i did. It was so busy so I can’t imagine how it is now. saw Pacific Rim and loved every minute of it.:)
I love things like this. Do more travelling for us! 🙂
Norm: “This is a Midway game”
Will: “Is it new?”
Yes, Will. Midway is still alive and kicking.
