I’ve been thinking about this for a long time that with your video podcast, you should make an effort to justify the use of video. Give us a reason to watch rather than just listen, and it shouldn’t be that hard to do in some obvious cases. You don’t often have show and tell with physical stuff (in the context of This is Only a Test at least), but you do often reference other video stuff.
For instance when you talk about the Boston Dynamics video of the reindeer pulling the sleigh, you could theoretically hijack the video feed or put a Picture-In-Picture in the corner showing some of the highlights of the video you’re referencing. I realize that there are things to consider regarding rights and IP and whatnot depending on what it is, but with some discretion, intelligence and on-screen text attribution, you should be able to fall within the constraints of Fair Use.
As it is right now, you say you put a link in the show notes, but I watch the video on the tested.com site which only shows a single paragraph summary of the subject matter. I then pause your podcast and load the YouTube page which has more information, but only really just subscription and twitter stuff, and notably lacking are any additional show notes. I am then stuck Googling for it hoping I find the right video. Granted it’s not hard to do, but it’s annoying and time consuming when all I’m looking for is a little context into the discussion you are getting into
Hell, YouTube has the capability of putting links to other YouTube videos in an overlay. Even that would be appreciated.

Why did it take nearly 30 minutes before the discussion turned to the topic of the two experts? Stopped listening after Norm tried to take the discussion back. I would like to see Jeremy or Steve (or both) take charge of an interview on this topic.

Imagine, if you could import your coffee cup into your, for example, Elite Dangerous cockpit and pick it up while cruising the space?
I actually feel pretty much the same as Steve regarding The Force Awakens, and I’ve had a hard time figuring out why. I didn’t go to the extreme of camping out for any of the movies, and I don’t really do any “organized fandom” activities for Star Wars (cons or cosplay or any of that). But I did see the originals in the theaters starting in ’77 (I’m 45), and I’ve read all the books and comics, and I have a ton of toys in my basement (up until scarcity and scalping killed my interest in that collection a few years back), so I’m a bigger Star Wars fan than the average person.
I avoided spoilers (other than the major trailers), but due to travel wasn’t able to go see the movie until a few days after it opened, and that really didn’t bother me. I saw it once, and I’ll probably see it again but I’m just not fanatical for some reason. Part of it’s getting older, I guess, and maybe a little of it was letdown from the prequels (but I didn’t hate them, and I’ve enjoyed a lot of the EU and TV material that came out of them).
