Thanks for still getting a podcast out given the varied circumstances.
“This week’s episode is brought to you by… Norm’s ghost voice, echoing into the void since 2017…”
To Jeremy’s point of using vinyl to explain sound reproduction, everyone should take a look at this short video of someone making a physical copy of a 45 via a silicone mold……..

Take a shot for every silly voice that Patrick does!
The programmable tank Jeremy was talking about was called Big Trak.
I think I need that “Kind Kingdom” game… how about a review? Lol
why do I get an image of Adam and Norm in a horse costume testing the LiDar wall like Mythbusters did thumbprint locks.
This is a cinema “electric transcription” that was used to sync with film. I use it to show students as a prop to demonstrate one part of audio reproduction evolution. Bugged eyed and jaw dropping. Then I show them a 8 track tape.
you guys need to crank up the volume i run my volume at 30 for everything but this site for you guys i need to go to 70-80 time to turn the knob to a higher number.
Yeah, for Tested videos I need to double my volume or more compared to any other content.
Just for giggles, see if the MP3 sounds appropriately loud (play button beneath the show description above). I ran our vocals through an audio compressor for that.
Homepod sounds like future Homsar’s brother (sort of like the Stink-o-man version of Homsar from Homestar Runner).
Sorry if this reference is completely in left field.
I enjoyed the podcast this week – I think Jeremy and the guests did a great job.
Apple really does seem like the king of Johnny-Come-Latelys. You guys have VR? Oh, well, you know, we’re going to do that so much better when we do it. You have an easy pay-friends system? Well, you know, we’ve got one too. You have really well established music subscriptions services? Well, we have Apple Music, you know. You have really great 4k TV boxes? Well, we’re probably going to do that soon. You have touchscreen laptops? You have systems that are really maxed out on processors, ram, and whatnot? We did finally update that, although you won’t be able to update it ever again after you buy it. We did finally add a touch-strip thingy to our Macbooks, you know. You have SmartHome hubs? We have a bluetooth speaker that might think about being a smarthome hub. You have really excellent voice-recognition digital assistants? We have Siri which we will make better someday, but at least it’s got a cooler voice.
Seriously – how is this company still charting so high on the stocks and so flush with cash? Aside from the historic momentum of Apple Mojo, what honestly keeps them in any way compelling? Even their “intuitive user experience and ‘it just works'” company lines have gone by the board with the bungling of iCloud and other notable misses. I’m not an Apple hater (I don’t love or hate any corporation, they’re all equally insidious), but I do confess I’m mystified in understanding how they’re still as popular and supported as they are. I must be missing something.
I like this view of the podcast this week.
