Podcast - This Is Only a Test
Episode 509 – 50th Anniversary – 7/18/19
It’s a big week for the team as we celebrate not only the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing, but also the 50th San Diego Comic-Con! We talk about some of the events we’re following online for each of these celebrations, as well as the latest in pop culture, technology, science, and VR news. Plus, what’s your go-to children’s book recommendation for new parents?
Can you please post a link to show notes?
Please bring back a bunch of dads. I remember the podcast started right when i had my first child around the same time as many of the hosts. Would love to see how perspectives and experiences have changed for everyone since becoming a bit more seasoned.
I recall an interview with the guy that design the lego ideas birds set 21301. I’m sure he said he got a set % per set and he made enough to buy a car.
Hey guys.
You mentioned two things I can bring a little insight into.
First on the topic of children’s books, if you want to know about the industry and how children’s books come about there is a great podcast called three point perspective. They are three illustrators who talk about there craft, the industry of illustration, which children’s books is a significant part of, and art in general. They had one specific podcast about how children’s books are made. So check that out.
Second about LEGO idea. LEGO does provide a small royalty of 1% total net sales to the LEGO idea designer if there idea is selected. One can dream.
