  1. The D23 site has the Disney+ Founder’s deal. It is about $4 a month if you sign up for three years. You can sign up for the free D23 membership level and after a few hours when you check your account the offer pops up. The total bill is $140.97.

  2. It is not just the Amazon in Brazil that’s burning. All the way around the world, in Africa and Southeast Asia, millions of acres of tropical rainforest are burning, largely due to the consumptive demands of 1st world nations like the USA for palm oil and beef, etc. At that scale it really is the “lungs of the earth” that are being destroyed. The ways one nation can make the biggest difference to another are by changing what we consume and how, and by directing our governments to put our tax dollars toward sustainable projects.

  3. you didn’t mention. but did you appreciate the stealth selfie of you? or would you have been ok with someone approaching you while? has having a kid that has changed your opinion on people approaching you?

  4. I listened to the Joe Rogan podcast with John Carmack and it is a good interview that is mostly Joe listening and John talking. It gets a little weird in the middle when Joe gets hooked on the idea of a robot sparring partner coupled with VR. It hits on many of the major points of John’s interests (VR, rocketry, supercars) but don’t expect any news on the next steps from Oculus.

  5. It isn’t really a JRE episode if Joe doesn’t get stuck on a tangent about the nature of reality… or very, very large chimps.

  6. Honestly surprised he hasn’t done a cooking show where he only cooks sous vide elk, just different guests every time.

  7. My son and I went on Smuggler’s Run twice and both times we were engineers and we loved it! The gunner has one button to press, but the engineer has several and they get to fire the harpoon to retrieve the “booty”.
