Fear of toilet insects is completely reasonable. On the last day of a dig while taking apart the field latrine I discovered the black widow had built her web directly under the seat. Judging by the egg sack, she’d been there quite a while.
how did I not know you were a Bills fan?!?! New favorite host
Surface corrections/notes/comments:
Surface Pro is still x86, Intel only. Core i3/i5/i7.
Surface Pro X has a processor that’s basically an overclocked Snapdragon 8cx, which stock is roughly equivalent to an 8th Gen Intel i5 mobile processor. That, combined with the 15 hours of battery life should make the Pro X an amazing device.
Only possible downside is that it can only run x86 applications. Due to how Windows 10 works on ARM it can’t run x64 apps. Also, from what I understand, running apps that aren’t compiled for ARM will eat more battery life. I believe that’s due to the processor having to work harder to emulate x86.
I predict the Pro X is the future of that line and the regular Pro will eventually be sunsetted.
Surface Laptop 3 15 inch only comes with AMD Ryzen and Navi graphics. Pretty big deal for anyone that wants to do light gaming/production work.
Windows 10X on the Neo is the version of Windows Core OS made for foldables. It doesn’t have most of the legacy junk that Windows 10 on desktop does. Microsoft has said 10X won’t be available to desktop/traditional PC users. The UX experience on 10X is quiet a bit different than W10, and it’s nothing like Windows 10 with two monitors.
Windows Core OS is also being used by Hololens 2 and will be in the updated Surface Hub 2X next year. They’ll probably finally talk about it publically at Build next year, but it’s basically a modular OS that has a shared core and modular bits on top/around it made for the type of device it’s running on.
Surface Duo is the gd future. I’m disappointed it’s running Android, but this comment is already long enough without getting into my thoughts on that. It’s also a stealth release of an Xbox gaming device (xCloud). Just like the Surface RT and Surface Pro 3, I’ll be pre-ordering a Surface Duo. I predict it’ll show that dual screens is 1000% the way to go for foldables right now. A single OLED has too many compromises still.
For the next outro creation, please include Jeremy’s quote “Do you ever get nervous sitting on the toilet?” Haha
Minecraft Earth is coming out THIS MONTH and you guys still haven’t mentioned it once on the podcast. I’m really disappointed in you. It’s the most interesting AR thing I’ve seen in years and I can’t wait to play it!
