For driving and racing games for VR I play:
DiRT – Rally Racing, and Assetto Corsa with JDM cars and the Ebisu track mods.
Listening to Norm talk about spoilers is like listing to any gatekeeping nerd talk about how superior they are because they’re consuming the right media and you’re consuming the wrong media. I don’t even care about the merits of the argument anymore, I’m just tired of having to listen to the conversation for the three-dozenth time.
I think you missed a huge technological evolution this past decade: all day mobile computing. It was tangentially mentioned with cheaper smartphones and the iPad. But, I think this is certainly worthy of mentioning on its own. Over the past decade we got powerful ultrabooks and convertibles that last all day. The ease of taking your work/fun with you wherever you go, without the burden of a 5+ pound behemoth or the need for an outlet, has to be described as nothing less than transformative.
“We’re a technology podcast”… doesn’t mention the new AMD Threadripper CPU or the massive advances in GPU tech over the last decade.
Also: Minecraft. So much has been done with Minecraft the last decade.
