Inside Adam Savage’s Cave: The Blade Runner Blaster Pistol
One of Adam’s favorite movie props is the Deckard’s LAPD pistol in Blade Runner. Unfortunately, only one hero prop was ever made for the film, so Adam has spent much of his life building the perfect replica. And so have many other fans. Here, Adam shares the stories behind different replicas made by his friends and how they’re each unique.

Man, I love the Blade Runner gun.
How about ManShop or WorkCave?
I’m starting to feel a bit spoiled by all the awesome content these days.
I love how Tested is getting Adam trained on the “I’m Will” “and I’m Adam” synchronised sign off.
Final Cut !
To my ever lasting shame I have yet to actually watch Blade Runner so I just know that gun as…well “That Gun” from Fallout: New Vegas.
Adam has got a completed Blade Runner blaster. He briefly shows it off in the ‘Adam on the Role of Making in Education’ video.
I didn’t really get Blade Runner. I mean, it didn’t make much sense to me. And I loved the book. I get that it’s an influential look, but I didn’t really enjoy watching it, even for its visual style.
Workman Shopcave.
Caveman Workshop?
You damn teases, i could’ve sworn you guys were actually going to put it together in this video, I kept telling myself, they going to do it any minute now…and alas, it did not happen.
Since when did mancave become something acceptable to Will?
The Indiana Jones whip was complete. 😀
Speaking for myself, I find the plethora of works in progress even more interesting than the finished articles. Great to see the idea – the eventual plan – and the current progress so far.
Check out this super cool diagram!

My favourite Fallout 1/2 gun was the .223 that looked just like this!
Jeff wouldn’t have been able to pass off commenting on Adam mentioning Rick Ross.
Wow, I would love to have that “rubbish” casting!
Have to admit I was pretty… shocked?.. by Adam’s review of ‘Prometheus’, thought you guys were being a little harsh on Ridley Scott. Perhaps this is a peace offering? Doubt it, lol.
love tested
Goddamn it I want one of those.
I love mythbusters, but if Adam made a show about him working on projects that aired at the same time as mythbusters, mythbusters would loose every time.
These videos keep getting better. I love seeing how other hobbyists work, and you don’t get much cooler than dam’s setup and collection.
“There was only one of the props, and it was really popular…”
