  1. At long last! I asked Adam about his ZF-1 build at the reception following last year’s Tested Live Show and he said that they were waiting for some hurdles to be cleared before they could debut it. Thank you, thank you, thank you for this video – it has been more than well worth the wait!

  2. I would give an arm just to get my hands on the measurements that adam has of the many different props in his collection.

Adam, please, is there a way to get hold of some of those awesome notes you have?

  3. Sorry to correct you Adam . It’s “Das fünfte Element”. “Die” would be the feminin. In german “Element” is neutral. An “die” ist pronounced [diː]

  4. Wonderful Prop build! It is good to see that even someone like Adam with all the contacts, resources, and equipment that he has will sometimes take years to finish a project. Makes me feel a little better about some of my projects sitting around that I have to finish.

  5. you beat me to it. i get that adam is hamming up the german title for comedic effect, but… IT’S STILL WRONG GODDAMMIT! 😉

it’s funny though, that adam’s go-to german article is ‘die’ (with the typical anglophone mispronunciation as the imperative that implores to cease living) instead of ‘das’, when the one german film title they all know in english-speaking countries is ‘das boot’.

  6. I’ve always wanted a ZF-1 but I have too many other projects on the go at the moment, anyone know a maker who can sell me a finished ZF-1? i’m aware I will pay a premium for it.

  7. Ah amazing! One of the best films & an incredible build! Curious… what’s the story with the broken convex mirror on the shop wall? Has that been discussed before?

  8. Funnily (if that’s even a word) I thought you were going for an “ol’ timey” effect, and was thinking it should have been in black and white.

Maybe just link to the original video.

Thanks both Adam and Tested for the up date, and it looks drool worthy.

  9. Zorg Says “It’s light. Handle’s adjustable for easy carrying, good for righties and lefties. Breaks down into four parts, undetectable by x-ray, ideal for quick, discreet interventions. A word on firepower. Titanium recharger, three thousand round clip with bursts of three to three hundred, and with the Replay button – another Zorg invention – it’s even easier.”

  10. Adam… *ahem* Mr. Savage,

I could not help but notice something while watching the zf1 video. If you have a mold or perhaps another body you built as a backup you could use it to build a model. A model that I strongly believe you would both adore and be proud of in its complexity. Apologies for the build up, but wait no longer 🙂 Have you noticed with your vast knowledge of the Star Trek universe that the zorg zf-1 looks strikingly similar to a Romulan drone ship? If you were to google those words exactly, the very first picture would be an extremely useful reference for you should you wish to build it. I think it would make a great “wideo,” Mr. Chekov.

  11. Amazing build, great work and dedication Adam! Now that you have teased us with the finished article, could we see another longer more in depth video showing the processes involved in the different elements and possibly the final assembly? Such a great piece deserves more explanation! Thanks, Ryan.

  12. One small correction, Marcel and I never had access to the original prop when the parts schematics were scaled and drawn. We only had pictures of the original prop graciously provided by Matt that he took at Comicon and a few taken at the propstore by LDR. Glad to see it finally come together dude! Hopefully the missing parts will get done at some point in the near future. ie. top barrel Probably time to get my personal build together…Glen
