Podcast - Adam Savage Project
Return to The Rock – Still Untitled: The Adam Savage Project – 12/22/15
On our recent trip to Alcatraz, we recorded two episodes of Still Untitled in front of a live audience. This second episode features a very special guest: Dr. David Miller, NASA’s Chief Technologist. Dr. Miller joins us to talk about the search for Earth-like planets, NASA Spinoffs, and the technological challenges of space exploration. He also shares some weird astronaut stories! (Thanks so much to NASA, Dr. Dave Miller, the US Parks Service, and the Bay Area Science Festival for making this episode possible.)

How do locals find out about these events?
Still a very neat thing to do.
Dr. Miller was an amazing guest.
I was hoping for a Star Wars Spoilercast, but this was cool too.
next week!
Thanks, I’m looking forward to it.
I might have gone for viewing number 3 by then…
excellent!
That was cool. I have to say, the generosity of time, in addition to the enthusiasm of the folks from NASA is wonderful to see. I don’t know what the behind the scenes wrangling is like to get them to events and stuff, but their apparent willingness to get involved is great to see and most enjoyable.

Would love to see move podcasts like this, I learned a lot and these podcasts are so informational and are a blast to watch. Keep up the great podcasts!
Yep. They certainly seem to realize how important it is. If they’re not out engaging the public, then we forget about them. When we forget about them and don’t find their work important or interesting, Congress defunds them. They lose their jobs and humans lose out on scientific discovery.
