Before the Bear Walk – Still Untitled: The Adam Savage Project – 7/26/16
This week’s episode of Still Untitled was recorded on location at this year’s Comic-Con, just before Adam’s incognito walk through the show floor. Adam, Norm, and Simone talk about their favorite things seen so far, cosplay, and scooting around San Diego on electric skateboards.

Hey Adam! You should really consider taking some singing lessons to help you with your voice problems during and after Comic Con. It is all about the support in the abdominal muscles! 🙂
If those pedicabs are like the ones in PDX, it’s the crappy coaster brakes you need to worry about. Going downhill with five people in tow probably means you’re not going to stop so well.
I loved everything you folks had to say about how putting on the costume effects and inspires the character you are portraying. As someone who is partially a theatrical costumer, it was said multiple times in college that as the actor puts on their costume, you want them to feel as if they are putting on their character.
I believe NPR’s podcast Invisibilia recently did an episode called “The Emotional Life of Clothes” that touched on this topic and delved into the science behind it a little bit.
Simone’s facial expression are priceless. Welcome!
Norm slowing down in old age.
Simone and Adam should do a one-day-build where they take one of those preposterous figurines and give it a more “practical” outfit.
Or have Simone design her own practical superhero costume and build it with Adam
If you ever have the chance to see a movie with a live orchestra, I highly recommend. I recently saw a screening of ET with the St. Louis Symphony playing the John Williams score. It’s such a cool and unique experience. This fall they will be doing Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.
, @MichaelK Perhaps Simone can usher-in a new cosplay paradigm … “practipunk”!
re: clothing makes the character-
Watch the Looney Tunes cartoon “Bugs’ Bonnets,” where even just changing a hat can change your outlook!

Agreed. Adams needs a few sirens and “Heys” and “Ooohs” each day will help. My old teacher coached many actors for their elocution and endurance.
Simone is such a perfect fit for Tested. It’s great to have not just a woman’s perspective on things, but a non-American’s, and her being new to the show is a great way to see everything they do again with fresh eyes, in this new era of post-Will and more Adam.
Yes Simone! Understood, she is out of her element here just taking in Comic Con for the first time, but I am sure she will catch up fast. Her personality is very welcome. So awesome to get a European girl with English as a second language that can keep up with American wit (and still bring her own experience to the table). I look forward to her contributions to come. She is an untapped well of amazing posts to come. 🙂
I’ll be very interested to see the type of spacesuit Simone comes up with, fictional, or realistic.
She did borrow Adam’s suit at SDCC 🙂

This is a general comment for all Tested podcasts.
I tend to listen to the podcasts in my car on the way home from work. As a new listener it has been great in that I’ve had 3 years of casts to catch up on. (At this point I’m only one year behind). I would just like to say that as an audio only listener there are times I feel left out as you will b doing/showing something without describing it for us audio listeners. Please bare this in mind.
But also please keep up the fantastic work. My hour plus commute is made so much more enjoyable by your accompaniment and the laughs you give me.
