I’ve only just started reading Scalzi, really interesting to hear him talk, great to hear him talk about cons. And a i’ve just finished “Lock In” and just about to start “Agent to the Stars”. Super excited about it now!

Sounds very familiar! I rarely get to go to conventions just for “fun”, but even when I have a table or participate in a panel the whole experience is fun. The “coming down” afterwards is always very odd though, especially when you have side jobs like I do, the contrast between both worlds really hits you hard.
Next convention is a local one next week (in Switzerland; Swiss Fantasy) and it should be cool
considering the traffic in manhattan that Friday i hope Norm made his flight.

I attended NY COMIC Con but my schedule and Adams just did not line up – could not get into his panel and his autograph line was capped before I got there — maybe next year. LOUIS
So they mentioned John Scalzi lived in rural Ohio and living in rural Ohio myself, I thought,
“Huh, I didn’t know that… I wonder where?”
Evidently he lives 10 minutes down the road from me. Mind. Blown.
