  1. 22min in, SP4 isn’t fanless. Has a “hybrid cooling system” which I think means partially liquid cooler.

  2. Smith….Near the end of this episode, you mentioned using a Scanner Ap for expense reports and receipts, which one do you use? Is there a killer function that makes this tedious task a little more bearable? Are there any apps you have used that didn’t made the cut and therefore should be avoided

  3. I use Genius Scan for every day use it is super quick and easy for records and creating pdf’s. Ive been using it regularly for 2 years and it takes things straight from your phone camera to almost any kind of document. I haven’t used Evernote enough to know if you can scan straight into the app but once you import the documents they become fully searchable.

  4. I’ve used Genius Scan for two years and haven’t bothered to try and find another app because it works so well. You can go straight from your phone camera to a pdf or many other kinds of documents. Genius Scan will import to Evernote where your documents become fully searchable. I’m just an average user and have no affiliation with either app.

  5. OMG, please balance the audio levels better. I spent this whole episode (listening in my car) cranking the volume level up and down so I could hear Patrick and not be deafened by Will.

yes, Will is very loud in this video.

  7. I’m wondering about this how is the Windows 10 upgrade number good? It’s a pathetically small section of windows users.

  8. patrickham (and Eriduhanuman): Yes, Will mentions Genius Scan in the new “Still Untitled” (The Socratic Takedown – 10/13/2015) talking about apps using Force Touch

  9. To just see notifications (and not unlock) I’ve started using a finger that I haven’t set up in Touch ID so it doesn’t unlock it. Or a knuckle. Or a fingernail. All easier (to me) than the side button if it is sitting on the desk (once you get in the habit anyway but the side button has to be gotten used to too.)
