Episode 3 – Taking the Sniffles and Making Them Better

This week, Will and Norm talk about the latest Windows Phone 7 Series details, the Nexus One on Sprint and AT&T, pirates, LCD and LED technology, lossless audio compression, and a whole lot more. Oh, and the Xbox 360’s rumored upcoming support for non-Microsoft USB keys.

  1. Whoo. Saskatchewan… holla! Thank you Google for being outlandish.

although ‘sesatchewen’ for ftl. too much american, not enough ‘first nations’.

  2. An on-schedule podcast even with Bronchitis, that’s dedication Will.

Oh and that Boxee remote looks gorgeous, if what I heard is true, they’ll be selling it separately soon.

  3. Doesn’t sound like the 480 is really worth the upgrade for me at the moment. I’m using 2 280s at the moment, and the performance increase doesn’t sound huge enough to make it worth spending that much money again.

I have, however, considered selling my 2 280s and an old 8800GTX I have and buying two 480s, but that’s crazy talk.

  4.  no, the people from manitoba are generally really nice. I grief people (IRL/in game) too much to be from Manitoba.

  5. ” An on-schedule podcast even with Bronchitis, that’s dedication Will.

He’s not dedicated he’s just bored as hell :).

  6. “Actually I’m just gunna cut that part out entirely, you’ll never know.” NOOOOOOO I MUST KNOW WHAT WAS CUT!

  7. AHHHHHH!
On a more serious note, the 360 mass storage thing sounds pretty cool, maybe I’ll get a cheap memory stick to store my profile on so I don’t have to recover my account when I use a friend’s xbox. That would be nice.

  8. Great podcast!
I might be getting into Zune more than iTunes basically because I don’t own any Mac…

  9. That whole “sexy” pirate discussion I just thought was weird. I can’t really imagine a title to be something that would provoke someone to keep doing it. I never referred myself as a pirate when I did and I never really cared much for it. Being called a thief might not do much at all either. I just find that whole logic ridiculous.

  10.
    I actually agree with .
I get all of the specs and details, but it’s really not something I particularly enjoyed listening to in podcast form.. All of that detail is available to me if I want it, maybe a simpler discussion of price/performance would have sufficed ?

    Good show anyways.

  11. Calling a device that plays FLAC files an MP3 player sounds completely insane to me. An MP3 player plays MP3 files.

  12. ” Love the podcast guys, just one suggestion: please don’t use that little interlude between each topic of conversation. It gets really, really annoying and it just makes it sound weird when you guys are cut off by it. Just keep it as one piece, we get it when you switch to a different subject.  Other than that, keep up the good work! “

I second this motion. If you guys need to take a break, go for it. The music between every topic is annoying, if it were just for a break it would be fine
