Thank You!!
I was initially impressed by the keyboard tracking in VR, but then it hit me: the keyboard doesn’t really move. You’re not carrying it around; it’s just sitting on your desk. A much easier solution is to allow the user to mark the keyboard’s location with the controllers, and register that in VR. Since you can’t see your hands, this solution won’t help you any less than theirs.
If you want a good use for the puck, attach it to a housepet and register your pet’s location in the game. No more tripping over your cat AND you’re technically playing a game with your pet. I’d feel a lot more comfortable in VR horror games if a representation of my cat was wandering around the game space.
with regards to older humans in America, I saw this literally while I was listening to that segment http://nature.com/articles/doi:10.1038/nature22065
Those VR shoes would make an interesting Projections Episode. I kind of got the idea of them, but yes it would seem like they would be like roller skates unless there was a way of locking the treads up so that the wearer can reestablish themselves if a fall was to happen.
I, for one, didn’t care for Thor Ragnarok. I felt like it was a constant stream of jokes in my face, and I wasn’t laughing. Guardians 2 pulled it off but even that was a bit heavy on the gags (it has a talking racoon so it couldn’t take itself seriously.) I thought Ragnarok undermined the MCU character development of Thor, and esp Banner. I almost think I saw Ruffalo unintentionally rolling his eyes delivering one of his one-liners.
Freedom of the press is advanced screenings to films? If so, where do I sign up? Also in regards to the boycott, that goes further than the Times themselves as they stated they would cover the films as they were made available to the public. How is, potentially, not awarding the hard word done by so many talented people a good thing because a particular group of people did not receive advanced screenings when so many others were slighted as well?
I found this on the LA Times “This year, Walt Disney Co. studios declined to offer The Times advance screenings, citing what it called unfair coverage of its business ties with Anaheim.”
RE: Overwatch- Overwatch is set in a world where Blizzard exists as a game company. One of the heroes (D.Va) was a professional Starcraft player before joining the Overwatch team. There are shout outs to other Blizzard games in some of the maps like in Numbani or Hanamura.
Ragnarok is the perfect example of what TIOAT has been asking for for years. Again with the announcement of the Solo title and reminiscing about rouge one a few weeks back the queation was stated “Start wars is a universe and as such not every story needs to revolve around the Skywalker’s. What is there was a starwars comedy, or crime drama, or horror?”.
You question has been answered, what if not every marvel movie was a Hero’s Journey, action movie. What if we had a Marvel universe movie that was pure comedy? Ragnarok answered and I loved it.
After nine years of super hero movies, I welcome the fresh new look at the genre and building on the universe foundations. With another 10 years to go, I don’t need to see the same action movie with a different skin, take the risk and keep it fresh.
