Kishore: the cartoon you are thinking of is the brilliant BRAVESTARR.

They are putting Easter eggs in the promo to find for Ready Player One. Check this out https://wiki.gamedetectives.net/index.php?title=Ready_Player_One
The Star Wars: Concept Trailer (Again….. still not allowed to post hyperlinks, sigh!)

I thought Bravestar as well, but then wondered if it might be Galaxy Rangers

animek02, That Star Wars:Concept trailer was fun. thanks for sharing!
Norm, they already did a Thundercats reboot in 2011. I thought it was pretty good, but it only lasted 1 season.

I was never a big fan of the cartoons based on toys, I was slightly too old for them (like I was 16 when they were aimed at 9 year olds) but the cartoon from the 80s I would love to see as live action is Gummi Bears. I completely loved that show.
Yep, kick ass theme song
Kevin Smith interviews a ton of people who worked on those old cartoons, on his podcasts, because of his obsession with comics. Im pretty sure it was on Fatman on Batman where he interviewed someone who worked on HeMan. The “0” on Orko’s shirt was a protest because they were being payed nothing for some task they had to perform. Can’t remember the details but my god. That stuff really was brutally cynical marketing to children, in terrible working conditions for some of the creators. We are just hearing, too, about the sexual harassment in that industry nowdays, I can’t imagine what it was like back them.
Ironically, however, one of my favorite comic books of all time, ROM, came out of one of the worst toys, a static barely posable robot that did very little and had only the most ghostly, wisp of backstories. (Writer Bill Mantlo, also invented Rocket Racoon, as well as Micronauts which, obscure, also had a fascinating run involving mass genocide, eugenics, ptsd of warriors…).
“Lonestar” was the cowboy cartoon.
There was also Saber Rider & The Star Sheriffs. Can’t remember how many times I rented a VHS of it. Another great 80’s cartoon theme song. I miss those; can we have more of those please?

Getting all those avatars to appear was a casting call to all modelers. I didn’t have an avatar to submit otherwise it would have been awesome to see in the movie. I don’t remember the requirements on licenses toward original content though.
Hey Kishore, Macron is the President of France not the Prime Minister.
“Rhino ivory”. Oh man, that’s embarrassing.
