Wow, that was an incredibly disappointing and despicable way to describe hockey. Shame.
uhhh – It was a joke, because, you know, I play hockey. And I often talk about that trope being inconsistent with the reality of hockey today.
The music should start playing, someone dramatically says “SPORTS SECO–” and the Jeremy’s voice just cuts in and goes “All right that’s enough.” And that’s the entire music cue. Everything prerecorded so Jeremy doesn’t even have to shut it down himself every week, it’s already done.
Please note: this is said entirely with love, not malice. I enjoy Kishore’s enthusiasm for hockey but I also enjoy Jeremy’s deadpan replies.

Jeremy, I’m like you in that I have no interest at all in professional sports. Hockey is the only one I can stand though. Because when you watch it, it’s effectively a massive pinball field. What interests me is the physics of the game. It’s also a lot faster than most. There’s not nearly as much time standing around waiting for something to happen as other games.
I feel the same as Kishore with the Solo trailer. This latest one makes me interested. I was gonna see it anyway, but now there’s a nice level of excitement to lead up to it.
I so hope that was Chewie’s wife Malla we saw. She has been reintroduced to canon through mentions in two books, so it very well may be her.
Speaking of Gary, could you get him back on the podcast as a guest sometime? I listened to all the old octoberkast episodes recently and miss hearing him on the show. Need an update on Space Rocks!
Just realized that if Chewie and Mella are together before episode 4 and Wookie’s grow incredibly slowly then maybe Kylo Ren and Lumpy used to play together as children. Maybe Kylo Ren visitied Kashyyyk, maybe he attended Life Day ceremonies and heard his mom sing about the promise of the tree of life.

Didn’t pebble (I know I know) try to bring us the ‘star trek’ communicator with the pebble core? I never got mine so no idea if it actually worked with Alexa as claimed but with a sim card etc it sounded pretty good.

Hopefully you will use this as an opportunity to realize using your platform to tell offensive and tone-deaf jokes is unacceptable regardless of what sport you play, even if some of your best friends play hockey.
