  1. Apple ‘sigh’. A professional Mac Pro needs professional pricing – achieved. Normal price range for this level. The monitor maybe even cheap as reference monitors go.

More concerned about all the other Apple price hikes that put me off recently. All the little extra, pens keyboards, adapters that are unreasonably priced. Push it to the limit and then double the price. And there are the design flaws: Laptops with glued in display cables, bad keyboards.

Replacing 4 M6 threads with a $200 visa adapter or a stand for $1000 is just in the same pilfering spirit.

  2. Totally agree. I’ve been a staunch apple brand purchaser since the early days of smart tech, buying into the iphone, ipod, etc etc. I have a high affinity for the brand and IOS. But, even I am getting tired of these arbitrary price hikes on lackluster hardware upgrades. Either make your hardware easily upgradable so I don’t need to invest in a new computer or tech every 3-4 years; or make your product more affordable so I can if I must. Unfortunately I think it’s very much a product of apple being a status symbol first and tool second. It really is unfortunate for those of use that use these as professional tools and for the overall compatibility across devices rather than fashion accessories.

  3. You’ve asked Norm form an episode of Black Mirror to watch, and the first of the new season is definitely the one. It’s not as good as USS MCCalister but it’s about VR and features 3D pinball machine.

Also i’d recommend a previous VR episode, not sure witch one but it uses the same kind of fictitious VR interface (the one with the house and spiderbully, i’m guessing Norm knows which one) but is a bit more frightening.

  4. I am so disappointed that you didn’t talk about the gameplay demo of Minecraft Earth at WWDC. It’s the first AR game that actually looks fun and you don’t even mention it. Shame.
